A missing Idaho dog was found herding a group of sheep two days after he was ejected from a car during a crash, according to a local report.
The incident unfolded around 11:55 a.m., Sunday when Linda Oswald and her family were driving along State Highway 41 with their dog, Tilly, in the back seat, The Spokesman-Review reported. Tilly was ejected from the rear window, which was shattered during the accident, according to the report.
In apparent shock, Tilly bolted across the prairie south of Rathdrum. Oswald and six strangers pulled over when the crash happened immediately and began looking for Tilly.
โPeople just kept going out,โ Oswald reportedly said. โ2:30 in the morning some people were out looking for him.โ Oswald ended her search Sunday after approximately 10 hours and posted a picture of Tilly on Facebook asking for help to find him, The Spokesman-Review reported.

I just looked where in Idaho this happened. Purtty far north of us. And with gas prices.........
Cats ALLOWED themselves to be herded?????????
Thanks.
This is a great story - just read it aloud to my family and they loved it.
So glad it had a happy ending.
Not a day goes by that I don’t see a “lost dog” or “lost cat” posted on a telephone or light pole - or posted on the NextDoor app for my area. Breaks my heart. I live in coyote country so I suspect those pet became victims of coyotes.
I also know dogs (and cats) can get out - and disappear - in the blink of an eye.
It was a mostly successful operation. One or two would always get into a spot the dogs couldn’t get them out of. The assembled “herd” never lasted long but it was fun to watch.
LOL! REALLY! Actually, the collie from hell!
Me too.
Us as well with coyotes.
Adorable :)
This is the best news of the ENTIRE week. Thank you!!!
My Dad had a border collie when he herded sheep in the high desert as a boy. Said they were the smartest breed ever created. Mom and the kids went in to buy him one for his 70th birthday. The dog and a pet hen were his favorite companions until the day he died (second only to Mom or the kids and grandchildren when we were able to visit).
30 years ago I rescued a Border Collie who lived a wonderful long life. I still haven’t recovered. I miss her so much.
I needed a cute story after reading the news. Thank you for your post.
Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my father’s business?
Yeah i cant do anymore. Selfish probably but putting them sux too much.
Fully dusted herself off and got a job. ๐
Lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of a car.....come back in an hour and see which is one is happy to see you.
