Former Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, have put their Washington, DC, days behind them and are living in a $1.93 million Indiana home they purchased last month.
Property records reveal that Pence, 62, bought a seven-bedroom, 7½-bathroom house in the upscale location of Carmel — known as the luxury pinnacle in his state of Indiana.
And it appears he offered more than the asking price, as it was initially listed for $1.8 million.
The home was first listed on April 1 and the former VP placed an offer a week later. The sale closed on May 25.

That is what I thot too...
Used some of that payoff money from certifying the election.
Agreed. 10,500 sq ft is not an average family or retirement home...
I was posting to someone who said it was not a luxury home...In Carmel, Indiana this home would certainly seem to qualify.
As long as he stays in Indianoplace, I’m good!
In Indiana you get a lot of house for the money. This is one of the reasons people buy a house here.
Carmel is a very fancy and wealthy community. Large beautiful homes and access to the best to offer.
It is a good deal and it isn’t anywhere near a beat up Colonial somewhere else in America.
Oh, please! Wonder if the dims would nominate him?
He sure as hell isn’t going to be on the Republican ticket! 🤣🤣🤣
Hey, I live here. Where do you live?
That’s not much for a house anymore. Where I grew up, a lumber town, a small house could be had for 40k. Now, the average in that city is 600k.
I kinda fall in the camp of Pence’s job was to count electors given to him. The failure was of the state legislatures to provide him with alternate slates of electors.
The uniparty manifestation was the decades-of-service types at the State GOP/Legislature level who always were terrified of drain the swamp.
Pence gets a pass for this. A VP can’t stand there and refuse electors he doesn’t like. That can go on forever. Reagan’s 49 state win against Mondale could have been reversed if GHW Bush decided to refuse all those electors.
There has to be some mechanism in the form of alternate elector slate that comes from legislatures. Pence was never given that.
Agreed.
In reality it was a lot more than a whiff of fraud...Watched it on TV and on video for weeks!
He has a $90,000 pensions, thanks to being VP. If you include that he probably didn’t spend much during his time as VP, so he could save most of his income, and they he would have made a decent down payment from the sale of his other house
This seems doable to me.
Get to use a different one every day of the week ;)
I wonder if Biden and the Federal government will start building those low income housing projects in his neighborhood.
Yep, check cleared. No one needs a house that size unless. It’s nothing but pomp and circumstance and look at MEEEEEEE!!! Bet after five years, there will be rooms he never entered. Who has the larger carbon footprint, Pence or Kerry?
Before Jan. 6, at least two states realized there was fraud and wanted their certifications rescinded to give them time to investigate. Pence denied them that.
Hope they enjoy the echo.
Shameful. I have relatives who live in $1+ million dollar homes. They worked their asses off to be able to do that. Residing in a swamp is not “working”. Empty suit.
It’s like when Hillary was asked to name an accomplishment, she said that she had flown to different countries (paraphrased). Someone replied, “Flying isn’t an accomplishment; it’s an activity.”
Obamy is up to five at last count.
