We totally do not care for cruises. 😉
I’ve tried (and liked) many kinds of cruises, but have not yet sailed on one of the Megaships.
How did you like it?
Did it feel crowded with a lot of lines to wait in, or did they have that worked out?
There must be a lot to do on the ship.
The air purification systems are for sure better these days in passenger aircrafts. However passengers are not connected directly to those systems with airtight tubes. All passengers are breathing inside the aircraft and their breath is getting mixed before it enters the purification system. If the passengers around you are exhaling virus infected breaths, how are you protected? Masks do not protect you from virus entry into lungs.
I am limiting my future bookings only on ships bigger than 135,0000 tins. During my 36 previous cruises, I have done everything from small to big. I like the bigger the better. Yes, more things to do, and the stage shows are much superior, I guess bigger number of passengers means bigger budgets. There are more shops, more restaurants. We had breakfast at Tiffany’s shop on Oasis of the Seas ship. Complete with champagne and white gloved sales ladies.
Funny part was the 6000 passenger Oasis of the Seas ship was the least crowded ship ever. The hot tub was gigantic with room for 50 people sitting around. No lines anywhere.
On an assigned-seat flight, I ended up sitting next to a girl with a beautiful Himalayan/Siamese mix...She had the cat in a carrier under her seat...Irony is that of all the people to be assigned an adjacent seat on a large plane—it was me...I knew she had a cat because I had seen her in line—fingers crossed I would not end up next to her.
After I sat in my seat, my eyes and nose told me who I was sitting next to before I even really looked at her...I have cat allergies. Fortunately, I had Claritin, inhaler, etc. and promptly took some which alleviated most of the symptoms within a half-hour to an hour...
Point is the plane’s air filtration was not doing much for me...
Thank you for backing up point I made in earlier post.
The bigger point is, a large cruise ship has so much more outdoor space and so many more cavernous inside spaces, it so much safer than confined inside a aircraft for 1-6 hours flying inside United States.

You should get a commission. I’m sold.
Something to look forward to this coming Winter.
