Cambridge University researchers claimed people were more likely to look down on others or react with disgust at questionable actions if they were afraid of Covid.
The findings support earlier research which linked health threats with harsher moral judgment, and the idea that right and wrong are not based on rational thought alone.
A study by researchers at the University of Nottingham earlier this year found that people's adherence to Covid restrictions is more heavily influenced by what their friends and family do than their own principles.

Yes. There was a Gallup poll done last week (which got almost no attention) that revealed that 72% of Dems were afraid of Covid and supported the masks and other restrictions - while 87% of Republicans were over it, if they’d ever worried much to start, and felt that normal life should be resumed.

I have a friend who’s a rabid Trump Hater. Haven’t seen him in 10 years, as he lives far away. When our phone discussions of politics turned into argument, I told him I don’t wanna talk politics anymore but he wouldn’t let up, taking his anger at Trump out on me. Haven’t heard from since just after the Inauguration.
He watches CNN all day and believes all the spew.
He volunteered for Covid testing four times last Summer, so fearful of any ‘symptom’ he felt.
He was once my closest friend. We rode trail together for years.

I guess people who were never afraid weren’t polled.
They claim that some vaxxed not out of fear but consideration. Those are the socialists. Society is best served when everyone acts in their own self-interest.
The air of moral superiority precedes anything to do with covid, in my experience.
It isn’t just old harpies. Very young women who trend to the left are just as bad. The moral superiority thing is a feature of it.
