At least 60 members of Congress from both parties have been unable to access data for weeks in the latest ransomware attack to strike the United States.
The target was iConstituent, a tech vendor that provides constituent outreach services to dozens of House offices, including a newsletter service that allows lawmakers to communicate with residents in their districts and a service to track constituent casework.
It's the latest cyber attack after a series of hacks against the US executive branch and American companies have left many institutions feeling vulnerable and the Biden administration struggling to deal with the situation.

Maybe there will be some fun emails in there.
Dang! Congresscritters sitting around idle with nothing to do. It’s a CATASTROPHE! A DISASTER of unprecedented magnitude, I tell you.
Why does this come to mind? “No man’s life, liberty or property are safe while the Legislature is in session.”
China, yes, with a little help from their friends who sit in the big man’s chair along with his son.
hackers have been tolerated because they are good for the software industry. The legitimate software vendors get to charge more for maintenance, sell security software, etc. It is a "That's a nice computer system, it be a shame if anything happened to it." Right now if you pull off a big hack you get a great job being paid prevent others from commuting the same crime or so that they an perpetrate the crime on others.
if they started executing hackers you'll see a lot less hacking.

This is weeks OLD but they have kept it a secret until now.
The FIB has been saying that the hacks are by russians but all we really know is that a Russian company has been selling their hacker software to OTHER people.
They consider the “theft” of Nanzi Pelosi’s laptop to be a bigger crime. If someone stole Nanzi’s computer, you’d think they would’ve leaked some emails by now (5 months)
iConstituent must be a real crap company to fall prey to a ransomware attack. But I’m sure they have all the right K Street connections.
At least Podesta was protected with the password “PASSWORD.”
