An ongoing disagreement between a major Houston hospital’s management and its nursing staff continues. Houston Methodist Hospital is requiring that all staff be vaccinated against COVID-19, with the exceptions of religious objection or health. Staffers were told to get the vaccinations or they no longer have jobs at the hospital.

Can’t buy or sell.
That’s where it’s heading. One article pretty much said so (a little bit back).
I’ve heard anecdotally that a rather large percentage of working nurses opted not to get the vaccine. We’ll see if this trend spreads and if it does, will those nurses all back down or will we see an exodus?
My wife is a nurse-midwife - she’s been mostly anti-vax for years and she’s certainly not getting this one. So far, her hospital here in Southeastern PA hasn’t laid down any ultimatums.
She’s 70, doing part time shift work - so I guess she’ll just have to retire the rest of the way if they do. It’s a shame though, since we need the money.
Being totally on fixed income is scary with inflation on the rise.
The “my body my choice” Dims are so hypocritical.
“My body, my choice!” Or so I’ve heard. But “they” can mandate what choices people are allowed to make. So much for being a free country.
I liked how Gov Abbott signed the TX anti-vax passport/vax questions Bill, on/about the same day as this BigPharma owned system had their absurd “vax” deadline.
You want the forehead barcode or the wrist chip implant? Family discounts available.
Probably put sensors in your heels so they can tell when bedrest patients are up and out of bed. Nurses might like that idea to keep track of unruly patients.
Illogical policy.
Test for infectiveness instead, say once a week. If they’re positive send them home without pay.
Could exempt the vaccinated from testing since they are about 95% loess likely to spread the disease.
Inflation? Pedo Joe sees no evidence of it. 😕
Medical procedures, including injections, forced upon American citizens are not constitutional.
That makes me feel much better.
I have blood work tomorrow at the VA. I asked if they could add in for anti-virus test. “We don’t do that.” Huh?
After forcing these workers to leave then those open jobs will be counted as jobs that no one wants.
Houston peeps don’t want the shot?
I know why.
Ah, but the tactical libertarians will jump in and say that private employers have the right to do whatever they want. If you don’t like it, build your own hospital!
Why is it the governments job to tell private companies how to handle their own affairs?
Don’t worry, if inflation goes nuts like it probably will, we’ll all be screwed together.
Just don’t forget to keep faith in God, he’s the one in control.
Hope Houston Methodist gets the hell sued out of them.
The four stages are:
1. Use fear to get compliance. Get it or you will die.
2. Use shame to get compliance. Get it or you are a bad person.
3. Use bribes to get compliance. Get it and you will get something good.
4. Use coercion to get compliance. Get it or something bad will happen to you.
