A 21-year-old Amazon driver was arrested in Castro Valley, California, charged with attacking a 67-year-old woman during a dispute, reportedly about “white privilege.”
The Amazon delivery driver, Itzel Ramirez, unleashed an onslaught of punches to the back of the victim’s head and face after an argument.
“I believe the Amazon driver said something about ‘your white privilege,’ and my tenant said, ‘You don’t need to be a bitch about it,’ turned around and walked away,” said apartment complex owner Doug Smith .
The landlord added the victim was too shaken up to talk to the media about the incident, which was caught on camera, from multiple angles.
The fight began after the victim received an alert that her Amazon package had arrived, but when she went into the lobby to get it, she couldn’t find the package.
When the woman asked the Amazon driver where her package was, Ramirez said said she’d get it soon. The victim then waited for 15 minutes in the lobby, then came back outside . Shortly after that, the verbal exchange escalated .
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Department said the victim suffered visible injuries, and possibly a broken nose .
“We can’t have our delivery drivers or people out there in the community attacking people, punching people in the face,” said Sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Kelly.
Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of battery causing serious bodily injury, and elder abuse, both of which are felonies. The Amazon delivery driver is also being held on $100,000 bail, and will be arraigned on Monday.
“This does not reflect the high standards we have for drivers who deliver our packages,” Amazon said in a statement, responding to the incident. “We take these matters seriously and this individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages.”

The Amazon drivers in our area are complete assholes. I live on acreage, and you have to come down a long drive to deliver anything. Most of our packages end up thrown behind a nearby tree by the road. Literally thrown. I’ve reported terrible service on over 50% of the deliveries from them.
Last week one of them sped off my property, took out my mailbox, dragged it over 100 ft., got out, pulled it from under their truck, threw it back on my lawn and took off.
I don’t care if you hate your job, but don’t take it out on the people keeping you employed. Idiots.
My security camera caught one of their delivery drivers drop kicking one of my packages onto my front step.
I sent a copy of the video to Amazon customer service and never heard back. I guess it wasn’t that important.
this woman needs to sue the living shit out of Amazon
I feel sorry for the delivery guy’s wife or girlfriend.
i would have at least tried to swing back. Little witch.
Itzel Ramirez! Nuff said.
And every single day, another 20,000 more are invading the country.
The attacker had a piece of metal in her hand.
If Obama had a fat daughter...
“your white privilege”....”you don’t need to be a b#@tch....”
followed by punches and broken nose....
Keep it classy, America.
You voted for a Dem House with Pelosi in 2018 and socialist Dems for House, Senate and President in 2020.
Now suffer for your sins.
P.S. This never happened on the Andy Griffith Show or Leave It to Beaver or Green Acres.
Quod erat demonstrandum.
Case closed. I won.
Amazon is responsible for this by their promotion of Critical Race Theory to their employees. Sue Amazon.
I wonder if this thought occurred to the one getting attacked: I wish I was a 2nd Amendment fan
Lol, maybe a little off topic. My youngest daughter was living with me for a time (she was an adult) and we got a craving for Zippy’s chili. Zippy’s is an eatery that started out in Hawaii with local favorite food. They now now have Zippy’s in several mainland locations. The closest to us was in Las Vegas, we lived in North Dakota. My daughter ordered next day delivery. It was delivered the next day but I don’t know what delivery service was used. Anyway the point of my little story is that I live on a very rural property. The chili was delivered and set on the ground beneath my mailbox on the gravel road. My mailbox is a mile from my house.
I had one back up onto my sidewalk and take out my railing. Amazon didn’t seem very interested when I called about it.
Oh, and the delivery was for a neighbor, not me.
OMG.
Yes it does. Your drivers are responding to their training.
Why do you still use Amazon?
Amazon should be sued for billions and blame it on their liberal policies and training.
