WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Seventy-six percent of U.S. adults say they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or plan to be, a number that has been stable over the past three months but is higher than in late 2020 and early 2021.
Seventy-six percent of U.S. adults in May 2021 have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or plan to be, similar to the 75% and 74% measured in April and March, respectively. When Gallup first asked the question in July 2020, 65% planned to get vaccinated, which dropped to 50% in September before recovering by December.
As of the May 18-23 survey, 60% of U.S. adults report they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, 4% have been partially vaccinated, 12% plan to be vaccinated and 24% do not plan to be vaccinated.
Among those not planning to be vaccinated, 78% say they are unlikely to reconsider their plans, including 51% who say they are "not likely at all" to change their mind and get vaccinated. That leaves one in five vaccine-reluctant adults open to reconsidering, with 2% saying they are very likely and 19% saying they are somewhat likely to change their mind and get vaccinated -- equivalent to 5% of all U.S. adults.
Last week, the Biden administration announced plans to increase efforts to achieve its goal of having 70% of adults at least partially vaccinated by the Fourth of July holiday. With 64% already vaccinated, that goal seems within reach if half of the 12% planning to get vaccinated follow through, even if none of those not planning to get vaccinated change their mind.

No vax for me. My friend, a retired pharmaceutical company exec, got one shot and regrets it. Her grandsons both got covid, was like having a cold for three days.

Remember when masks were not recommended? That was a lie. As soon as they said that millions went out and bought them.
Then they said they were mandatory. Millions took off there masks.
Now they say again they are not required, means it’s time to wear them again.

As part of being informed, why is it the we can have “flat earth society” people treated with more respect, than someone who questions the wisdom of modifying the DNA of humans, for a NEW RNA based virus (one never known to exist before), and with a 99.7% survivability rate? That hardly qualifies as an emergency, imho.

I have pressures no one and do not believe if you had a confirmed case you need the vaccine. I believe the public health people would like to see as much of the population vaccinated as possible to put an end to this. so what? Public health people have also pressured against obesity and smoking for years, you see how well that has worked. If you want the vaccine get it. If you don’t fine. But stop wishing i’ll know those that made a different choice

That’s an easy one. There was an immediate strong negative reaction to the original instruction to wear a mask after being vaccinated. People said, “What good is the shot if I still have to wear a mask?” So it became, “wear a mask unless you are vaccinated”, a much easier sell.
Getting people to take the shots is much more important to the PTB than people wearing masks at this point.
The other funny part is vaccinated people worrying about non-vaccinated not wearing masks. The vaccinated don’t seem to have much faith in their shots.
Anyone saying they hope vaccinated people die or even predicting it will happen is a subhuman and should be shunned.
And I say that as an unvaccinated person.
And the same goes for people hoping unvaccinated people get sick and or die.

As a vaccinated person I do not care if unvaccinated wear masks or not. In fact I prefer they don’t. I have never been a fan of lockdowns or masking. They simply don’t work bx cause more harm than good. As I have said many times - the vaccine is available for all who want it. Time to drop all restrictions and let the chips fall where they may. The country should be fully open for business

Anyone else notice the wording in the Gallup poll chart, where it refers to “the FDA-approved vaccines”? Classic example of the logical fallacy known as “begging the question”.
“Funny i find only the antivaxxers are wishing for the deaths of those that made a different decision than they did. I know dozens of MDs that assessed the risk and benefits and got the vaccine None icus wish the folks that didn’t get it would get covid and die in the next few years. It is a sad thing but that’s my experience on these boards also. And the ones hoping for deaths/disease to arrive to those who chose vaccination are almost gleeful in their sick hopes/dreams. And I think, again from what I’ve seen here, that most who chose vaccination feel that all others should be free to make THEIR choice. They certainly don’t engage in jihad against the anti-vaxxers. I’ll be glad when this is all behind us.

The ‘live and let live’ approach doesn’t work well with these fake ‘vaccines’.
It depends on how you feel about first responders and medical staffing. Most get vaccinated. We can expect an unusual rate of negative impacts among first responders and hospital staff. That dimishes medical preparedness, in addition to quality of life and safety of those first responders.
SO the vaccinated public will have an uptick in medical ‘issues’ following vaccination at the same time medical and first responder staff will have an uptick in medical ‘issues’.
Those who grow crops, service cars, ring cash registers, can expect an uptick in medical ‘issues’ resulting from ‘vaccination’.
So it’s not a ‘live and let live’ let the public make up their own minds situation if you rely on crop production, car maintenance, fire fighters, police and ambulance drivers to be available at relatively stable rates.
It’s odd to read people asserting that it’s up to private choice whether our society can handle the expense and limitations of having part of the public become needlessly ill for an indefinite period of time. Disability, medical expenses, lost wages, missed work etc.
This must be the first time that argument has been made.
