WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Seventy-six percent of U.S. adults say they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or plan to be, a number that has been stable over the past three months but is higher than in late 2020 and early 2021.
Seventy-six percent of U.S. adults in May 2021 have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or plan to be, similar to the 75% and 74% measured in April and March, respectively. When Gallup first asked the question in July 2020, 65% planned to get vaccinated, which dropped to 50% in September before recovering by December.
As of the May 18-23 survey, 60% of U.S. adults report they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, 4% have been partially vaccinated, 12% plan to be vaccinated and 24% do not plan to be vaccinated.
Among those not planning to be vaccinated, 78% say they are unlikely to reconsider their plans, including 51% who say they are "not likely at all" to change their mind and get vaccinated. That leaves one in five vaccine-reluctant adults open to reconsidering, with 2% saying they are very likely and 19% saying they are somewhat likely to change their mind and get vaccinated -- equivalent to 5% of all U.S. adults.
Last week, the Biden administration announced plans to increase efforts to achieve its goal of having 70% of adults at least partially vaccinated by the Fourth of July holiday. With 64% already vaccinated, that goal seems within reach if half of the 12% planning to get vaccinated follow through, even if none of those not planning to get vaccinated change their mind.

It’s no accident that the 50% low was in September. This was when President Trump was excoriated by the fake news for very correctly estimating the timeline for authorization and availability of effective vaccines. Meanwhile, Vice President Giggles was blabbering that any Trump vaccines were unsafe
Yet we are already at 80% when you add in the naturally immune.

Some MD’s are saying that those who took the vaccine have a life expectancy of 3-5 years; and I’m wondering if this is a bad thing.
I sure hope not because both of my daughters in their 20s got the shot against my advice. Where is this information. That scares me.

That’s pretty much where we’re at as a family, we all had it. Very mild apparently, I dismissed it as allergies at first. Never got worse than that.
We have met the point of rationality and cling to it in improbable times.
Well it’s more than a mere cold, saw that up close and personal. But I’m still reluctant to get the shot. I may regret that but my intuition tells me....Not just yet. For one is mistrust for two is I tend to react poorly to medications in general. I’ve suffered with nerve pain and muscle spasms cause I couldn’t bring myself to take steriods or muscle relaxants. Stuck with Ibuprofen, once it kicked in after a few days I was fine.
No matter where one comes from on the advisability of getting the shots, we are in a period of good news and I like it.
And I don’t believe the “you gonna die later” claim.
And I haven’t gotten any shots.
What I’m seeing in south central PA is that vaccinated or not people are in love with their face diapers.
Signage almost everywhere now reads “face covering required unless fully vaccinated” but clearly 2/3 of the folks are either unvacninated or illiterate.

I’d like to see some admin officials placed under oath and queried about those vaccination stats.

“Vaccine-reluctant”? It’s not a vaccine, it’s an experiment.
Why is everyone being pressured to take the vaccine? If you had a confirmed case of covid19 the vaccine might even be harmful. Why isn’t the government taking into account the people who had covid19 as it assesses herd humanity? Don’t these things make you wonder what is really going on?
Exactly, and I am not a lab rat.
Notice that the signs don’t specify what you are to be vaccinated against so if you are vaccinated against anything then you are following the rules as specified. That said, even if they did specify covid I would still ignore the sign because the rule is ridiculous.
