County previously included deaths of anyone infected with the virus, regardless of whether it was a direct or contributing cause of death
-----
A California county cut its COVID-19 death toll by around 25% after determining that some deaths were not a "direct result" of the virus.
Alameda County revised the total number of deaths caused by the coronavirus to 1,223, down from 1,634.

I remember when Fauci said this was crazy conspiracy theatre. That every death was absolutely Covid.
Consistently ignored: When somebody has a serious comorbidity, many diseases can push him over the edge. Even where COVID was a factor in a death, it could have just filled-in for some other comorbidity that would have jointly
caused the death in earlier years, i.e., pneumonia, shingles, etc.
Also, there are still conservatives out there who think that scamdemic is real but are having a great time blaming it on the red Chinese and the illegals.
“California county cuts COVID-19 death toll by 25% after finding some deaths ‘clearly not’ caused by virus”
You mean to tell me the guy that put a bullet in his head and the one that was involve in a fatal motor cycle accident and both happen to have a mild form of Covid-19 didn’t actually die from Covid-19. I’m shockd
What a joke
Let’s say half of the 3006 US counties over-reported covid deaths by, say, merely 200 deaths. A small error due to one reason or another.
That would be 300,600 deaths erroneously attributed to covid.
Food for thought.
200x3006=601200
Indeed. I was assuming only half of the 3,006 counties over reported by 200 deaths. Inferences can divulge from there.
I need some new conspiracy theories because all of my old ones have come true.
‘...after determining that some deaths were not a “direct result” of the virus.’
nah, say it ain’t so, Joe...
Are they going to refund the higher reimbursements provided due to Covid deaths?
“ California county cut its COVID-19 death toll by around 25% after determining that some deaths were not a “direct result” of the virus.”
So the “Ivermectin/HCQ could have saved millions” meme is inoperative?
“Also, there are still conservatives out there who think that scamdemic is real but are having a great time blaming it on the red Chinese and the illegals.”
Yeah.
It’s sad how some conservatives defeat their own argument.
Another example:
For decades, conservatives have rightly pushed for stronger parental role and accountability in public school curriculums - advocating private school vouchers and even home-schooling - arguing that parents know what’s best for their children.
Then, when the public schools close for the scamdemic, these same conservatives get all up in arms - saying that children stuck at home are being deprived of a good education and are likely being abused and neglected by their parents.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!
Your scam is getting weaker by the day.
I remember when

Since you don’t seem to get out much, homeschooling is on the rise.
He wholeheartedly agrees with Kozak so that speaks volumes about him.
“Since you don’t seem to get out much, homeschooling is on the rise.”
Who said it wasn’t? And why do you have to be such an a-hole about it?
