Biden turns to Obama to help boost health care enrollment

WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden turned to his old boss, former President Barack Obama, on Saturday to help him encourage Americans to sign up for “Obamacare” health care coverage during an expanded special enrollment period in the pandemic.

Biden used his weekly address for a brief Zoom chat with Obama to draw attention to the six-month expanded enrollment period that closes Aug. 15. Meanwhile the government released a report that claims that nearly 31 million Americans — a record — now have health coverage through the Affordable Care Act.

“We did this together,” said Obama, whose administration established the health insurance marketplace. “We always talked about how, if we could get the principle of universal coverage established, we could then build on it.”

Biden, in the conversation with Obama, spoke about the 2015 death of his son Beau Biden from cancer.

“I literally remember sitting on the bed with him within a week or so him passing away,” Biden said, “and thinking, what in God’s name would I do if I got a notice from the insurance company saying you’ve outlived your coverage?”

His son is dying and the only thing he can think about is what if his insurance coverage runs out. What a prince.

Two losers, neither of which could hold a job in the real world, are going to deal with what?

He is pulling the old Obama play, talking about a dead relative’s access, or lack thereof, to healthcare. Joe was VP then. No way his son, was going to be cutoff. His son, who was a former Attorney General of Delaware, Major in the Delaware National Guard, former officer in the Army Jag Corps, son of a former Senator and current Vice-President - was in no anger of losing his coverage.

And the “Stuff” That Never Happened file just keeps on growing. This “literally” never happened.

With a national population of ~ 350 million, that's less than 10%

so 90% of the country is managing without ObamaCare

The ads for this special extended enrollment roil me every time I see one. “Now for as little as $10 a month...”.

Wicked leeches that I as a productive citizen taxpayer have to bear the cost for.

Democrats are in the death business. They are making a list and checking it twice. They need to sort everyone by their expected death date.

I never worry about outliving my coverage.

I have no coverage and haven’t had any since 1993.

There was some guy who promised before November 2020 to implement universal coverage for $75 billion/year more than what the US government spends now.

Check Major Biden’s stomach immediately.

“In 2004, he[Beau Biden] became a partner in the law firm of Bifferato, Gentilotti, Biden & Balick, where he worked for two years before being elected Attorney General of Delaware.”

“[Beau] Biden joined the military in 2003 and attended The JAG School at the University of Virginia as a member of the Delaware Army National Guard. He attained the rank of major in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps as part of the 261st Signal Brigade in Smyrna, Delaware.”

“[Beau] Biden ran for attorney general of Delaware in 2006....won the election by approximately five percentage points.”

“According to his father, Joseph Biden, Beau suffered from ankylosing spondylitis, which he was diagnosed with in 2001, after returning from service in Kosovo.”

“For the final few years of his life, Biden suffered from a brain tumor. In May 2010, he was admitted to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware, after complaining of a headache, numbness, and paralysis. Officials stated that he had suffered a mild stroke. Later that month, Biden was transferred to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and kept for observation for several days.”

“In August 2013, Biden was admitted to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive type of brain cancer, after experiencing what White House officials called “an episode of disorientation and weakness”. A lesion was removed at that time. Biden had radiation and chemotherapy treatments and the cancer remained stable. On May 20, 2015, he was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, because of a recurrence of brain cancer. He died there ten days later, on May 30, 2015, at age 46.”

If a law firm name partner can’t pay his own medical bills, we’ve got a big problem.

Beau apparently was the Attorney General of Delaware when diagnosed with cancer.

He’s lying through his teeth. His scary scenario is pure made up fiction. The insurance would not have dropped the coverage midstream.

And you shall have free or nearly free housing, medical care, child care, elder care, broadband, etc.

And how will you pay for all those expensive things?

By taxing McDonald’s cheeseburgers and other things not on my freebie list heavily.
