Take anything coming from Scientific American with a grain of salt. As you saw in the last election they have become a partisan publication.
I subscribed to Scientific America for decades. It was a journal of science which I loved. I have multiple degrees in science.
15 years ago it was most obvious that that once great journal had become political particularly with ecology, weather, global warming (30 years ago they were saying new ice age)etc. Today it is just a shadow of its once great self. Their physics, math and chem are still excellent at those subjects are not subject to political interpretation.
