I hesitate to put this out there, I don’t know this happened, yet I find it quite odd that East Asian people seem to have significant immunity to the virus. Is there a possibility ( not saying it happened), that the CCP weapons program calculated that this virus would hit Caucasian and African populations much much harder than East Asians (i.e., the Chinese themselves) ?
Just wondering out loud, and I certainly hope people at DIA have considered this. Would the CCP allow a large number of their own citizens to die if by doing so they could deal a very heavy blow to the West? I’m inclined to think “yes , they would.”

It doesn’t matter. We are living in a corrupt nation verging on a police state, and Democrats are rarely held accountable and the Republican opposition is persecuted by the legal system. I believe they will soon indict Trump for a creative legal theory of a crime. They are imprisoning and torturing people who were at the Capitol riots before trial. The only thing standing in the way of total single-party dictatorship is Joe Mansion, and do you really trust him? Remember when everything was left to establishment Republic Mueller’s bible-study buddy Bill Barr? How did that go? Mansion’s record has always been to stand up to Democrats only when they don’t need him. I think there is a good chance that his reluctance to remove the filibuster is an act. I think soon he will throw up his hands and say he tried to work with Republicans and failed. Once they remove the filibuster they add two Democratic states, DC and Puerto Rico, which will give them a permanent majority in the Senate. Then they pass the voting bill which will allow the ruling party to cheat in elections. Then they will pack the Supreme Court. And they will continue to flood the nation with Democratic voters. They will continue to use their corporate allies to censor and destroy the opposition. They will continue to use the FBI, DOJ, NSA, and local prosecutors to imprison the opposition. Many of the Republicans are either useful idiots like Jeff Sessions or corrupt RINO’s like Rod Rosenstein, Paul Ryan, and Christopher Wray who is using the FBI as a special police force for the Democratic Party. About half of the country is brainwashed by Pravda and filled with so much loyalty for the Democrats and hate for Trump that they welcome totalitarianism since from the party the think are the good guys

Why would China want to go down alone? If they have to take a major hit, then keeping the playing field level would be their first priority. Hell, even Steven King realized the logic of that in his book The Stand written what, almost 40+ years ago. When they realized what happened our government made a choice, go down alone, or take everyone with us, allies included.
The only question that needs answering is whether some idiots over there saw a tactical advantage of losing a bunch of sick and elderly citizens (non-producing government dependents that were liabilities for their bottom line anyway) as worth the price to take a huge gain in our elections and western economy and release it "accidentally".
