It started as “SLOW THE SPREAD” so that hospitals weren’t overwhelmed with too many simultaneous cases, then somehow it morphed into “STOP THE SPREAD” which clearly is impossible.

Yup, and all the suckers will succumb to government dictates... again. Wearing face diapers a thousand yards from any living creature because they’ve become conditioned... a nation of automatons.
Of course the lockdowns didn’t work. No one locked down. Everyone ran to Walmart because they were bored. Every parking lot in town was full. Nail salons were open and doing great business despite them not being essential. My neighborhood was swarming with construction workers. The city council put out notices to come for vacations so housekeepers, yard crews and restaurants were working overtime.
I wish I could remember the best comment I saw on all that, and I think it was around a year ago by a virologist or similar.

Most of these issues have a shred/degree of truth to them (initially): global warming, ozone hole, acid rain...
The problem is that when politicians and the media latch onto these issues, they use them in opposition politics, self promotion, for economic benefit (self and normally mega corporations), for the government bureaucracies advantage (scope and budget), to sell advertising (media ratings)...

The issue becomes no more than a slogan, a cause to rally people around so that everyone can profiteer from this “crisis.” You end up with a TSA that for $9,000,000,000 a year has not caught a single terrorist to date! You end up with (Ad council) idiotic water conservation commercials running on TV during Katrina while New Orleans was under water. You end up with the US government legalizing marijuana eventually after they destroyed thousands of peoples lives (Nixon used this to go after his opposition, like Biden is using the 6 January protest to discredit/criminalize opponents)...
Why the mask? It makes people feel like they have control, like they can do something, and that is important psychologically. Why close restaurants, public pools and beaches, some of which are the safest place you could have been (a beach with sun, heat, salt water, fresh air, sand... is NOT where Covid thrives)? This shows that you a politician took action! You took action in crisis and made decisions, and that makes you a “leader” with a microphone talking about all you did every night like Cuomo. No one will ask if it was all retarded shit which in some cases actually cost people their lives - see Cuomo and senior living homes.
All their PhDs, years of experience, and titles do not matter. They are essentially idiots because the politics, bureaucracy, political expediency and economics behind the scene influencing things, decision making that is half baked (quick and without much thought behind it) make for retard decisions. These decisions are made on the fly, they are based on how they can fit into some political agenda to advance a campaign (Biden with his XL mask)...
What is sad is that the Germans copy us... always, even if it’s stupid. I still do not know why the Germans had a BLM protest in Berlin? Is it because they have 1% blacks living there? Is it because they never had slavery like we had? Is it because all the blacks in Germany came their on their own free will, seeking a better life? Why does Germany have BLM protests? Because they copy EVERYTHING, even if it’s stupid or makes no sense for them.

They sold the lock-down insanity as a short term plan to “slow the spread.” Notice that even they did not say “stop the spread.”
“Stop the Spread” became the mantra later of totalitarian governors and the media. We needed zero cases despite almost every virologist essentially saying that the virus would continue to spread. At some point, even Fauci began using the word “stop”.
The whole world went nuts. I can’t help but think that “slow the spread” eventually turned into “stop Trump.”

“Science” proves whatever we want to believe or makes us feel good about ourselves, and usually what makes some folks a lot of money. There is often a grain of truth present, but the solutions offered are so twisted by the political and economic interests pushing the agenda that they seldom even address the stated problem! We produce more CO2 today than ever before (globally), we produce more acid rain than ever before (globally), we produce more CFCs than ever before (globally)... LOL
But some things remain constant.
There is always a new “cause” and “scare,” politicians will offer half baked solutions, corporations will profit from these solutions, and if you do not jump on the bandwagon of mass hysteria and group think, you will be labelled as a heretic and punished in some way.

I suggest that a mere 10% that is claimed to be science in the MSM is actual science. The other 90% that you read about in the media is pop culture trash, politicized junk, media sensationalized nonsense, ***pretend science selling you something***
I suggest that when you’re dealing with the government, maybe 50% is science, the rest is still junk because of the political forces that are pulling on them.

Science today is a bastard for every politician, faux scientist (like Fauci - that guy doesn’t do science, he’s a pop culture star like the Kardashians), corporation, or social activist with some ideology wanting to show that “science” supports their ideas. Because the public is stupid (poor logic, science and math skills), has been taught to follow and respect authority (without questioning it), and because dissent is squashed in a world of mega media corporations and big tech where just a small handful of folks control the message, if you tell them that race is a social construct or that homosexuality is natural, they will accept this. You could tell most Americans today that they are the decedents of Barney, the purple dinosaur, and if a guy in a white lab coat and big title tells them so, they will believe it.
