NEW YORK CITY, NY – A homeless man with multiple prior arrests was charged Tuesday for punching an Asian woman in Chinatown, and NYPD’s Commissioner is fed up with the justice system’s revolving door.
Alexander Wright, 48, was arrested shortly after the unprovoked attack, which took place in broad daylight on Monday afternoon. He has been arrested a total of 40 times, including five within the past year.

The reason they don’t call it “Asian hate crime” any more is because we all know what that means of the race of the perpetrator.
He is a member of the democrat social-communist protected class. Their Justus Dept doesn’t care.

I thought “captured” was an odd word for the headline. Save some time and just make a weekly appoinment for him to come by and collect a list of new charges pending. That will save the police and him both some time. It’s not like they’re actually going to take this predator off the streets.
How would such a man have been handled 100 years ago?
Singapore would deal with this in a manner where there would be ONE arrest and then the perp would be on their best behavior after that.
“If only there were a way to predict whether someone was still a hazard to society.” It’s a shame that government officials who release people with, say, more than 20 priors back into the general public can’t be held culpable for the crimes they then go on to commit.
(Could someone please remind me what the function of the police is? I.e. what service taxpayers are paying for by having police? Because it isn’t to serve as bodyguards for individual citizens, according to many court cases.)

He should be remanded to a treatment facility that specializes in dealing with potentially violent patients and shock therapy prescribed and repeatedly applied until he is all better again.

My guess is that when liberals came out and wanted attacks against Asian-Americans to be considered hate crimes they were delusional enough to think the crimes were being committed by MAGA people.
The only mayoral candidate running that comes anywhere close to being Rudy 2.0 is Curtis Sliwa. Hopefully he’s got what it takes to win.
