Dr. Antony Fauci and a scientist with a close connection to the Wuhan lab corresponded in April 2020 while the pandemic spread throughout the world. Peter Daszak steered tens of millions of U.S. government dollars to the Chinese lab in order to fund his gain-of-function research projects.
By this time, Fauci had become a vocal opponent of investigating the lab-leak theory, for which Daszak was grateful.
“I just wanted to say a personal thank you on behalf of our staff and collaborators, for publicly standing up and stating that the scientific evidence supports a natural origin for COVID-19 from a bat-to-human spillover, not a lab release from the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Daszak wrote to Fauci on April 18, 2020.
“From my perspective, your comments are brave, and coming from your trusted voice, will help dispel the myths being spun around the virus’s origins,” Daszak added. Fauci responded on April 19, writing, “Many thanks for your kind note.”
Daszak was thanking Fauci for a statement he made on April 17. “There was a study recently…where a group of highly qualified evolutionary virologists looked at the sequences there and the sequences in bats as they evolve,” Fauci said at the time, dismissing Chinese lab origins of the virus. “The mutations that it took to get to the point where it is now is totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human,” he had opined.
We now know that Fauci’s certainty was premature. Three months prior to that, Fauci had received an email from another researcher, Kristian Anderson, who wasn’t sure about the “jump in species” scenario.
“On a phylogenetic tree the virus looks totally normal and the close clustering with bats serve as the reservoir,” Andersen said in one of the emails.

The virus uses its spike protein to bind to cellular receptors in the human body. It burrows into the cell and starts replicating itself until the cell explodes and thousands of baby viruses enter the bloodstream to repeat the process. But the spike protein in question doesn’t appear in many other bat species, although it’s not unheard of in the animal world. That’s why Anderson and a few other researchers are perplexed about the way the virus enters the body.
This is exactly what gain-of-function research does: it makes it easier for a virus to invade the human body despite being originally infectious only to bats.
This has been self-evident all along and it’s a wonder that responsible, prominent scientists would go so far as to dismiss the lab-leak theory before all the evidence was in. And it appears that Peter Daszak has played a big role in trying to deflect any investigation away from the Wuhan lab.

Peter Daszak, as you may remember, is the President of EcoHealth Alliance, and how NIH grants were funneled to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and Dr. Shi Zhengli (AKA the Bat Lady).
Daszak himself teamed up with Dr. Shi on gain-of-function research studies that created mutated coronavirus versions and then tested those viral strains on animal and human cells.
Daszak, who also signed the Lancet letter, has every reason in the world to want to eradicate the lab-leak theory, ultimately because his rear end may be in the sling if it is revealed to be from there.
Daszak worked to use The Lancet as a propaganda publication to cover-up malfeasance and corruption. The Lancet’s articles were tools for protecting both the Chinese Communist Party and the American parties that participated in the gain-of-function research that yielded Covid-19. At every turn, from blaming bat soup to trashing treatments like Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, The Lancet was the primary mouthpiece for “scientists” to point people in the wrong direction.
And oh yeah, the Lancet is also the journal that published the FAKE study that purported to show how Hydroxychloroquine was useless against the Coronavirus.

Well, to add insult to injury, this very same Peter Daszak is being put in charge of to investigate the origins of the coronavirus that caused a global pandemic.
Yes, The Lancet has created a ‘task force’ to investigate the origins of the coronavirus that caused a global pandemic, yet it has decided to employ as it’s leader the very guy who funded the dangerous gain of function research at the Wuhan lab and subsequently allegedly ‘bullied’ other scientists into avoiding looking into the lab as a potential source of the outbreak.
The media narrative has changed suddenly.
Why? Why now?
What are they up to?
What’s their next move?

Corruption always follows money. The more money available, the more corruption is present. The largest pile of money on the planet is produced by Washington, DC; therefore, it only stands to reason that it DC is also the largest center of corruption in our solar system. The deep state will sacrifice anyone or anything to keep the truth of the enormity of their corruption from being discovered.

All really good questions. What we have here are scientists who are protecting their grants regardless of public safety, and a news media that cannot be seen to do anything that might prove PDJT right. The article actually blames Trump because he suggested that covid might have come out of that lab and therefore the media is compelled to deny it, like that makes logical sense. I suppose now that he has been gone for several months, journalistic curiosity may finally have won the day. But that is probably too simplistic, so who knows what is going on.

Every time an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from China.
