Facebook Is Satan
Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. I spend most of my time each day researching soup.
The 21st century has seen an avalanche of changes in the way we produce and consume media. We’re going to be focusing on the social variety of media today, so please excuse me for not going into the whole “Netflix killed Blockbuster” rant that’s always lurking in the back of my mind. And yes, I watched the documentary, so I know that Netflix didn’t really kill Blockbuster. I reserve my right to believe otherwise.
Social media has become a fact of our lives in ways that even the most prescient among us couldn’t have imagined a mere 15 years ago. MySpace was making a name for itself in the early aughts but it was still a niche thing with limited appeal. It was popular but it wasn’t a platform that businesses were flocking to.
At the time that MySpace was amassing its biggest audience, Facebook was just getting its feet wet on college campuses.
Now it’s perverting the American electoral process.
The role that Facebook played in gaming the 2020 presidential election for the idiot Democrat is becoming clearer — and scarier — every day. It’s not a pretty picture.
In a relatively short time, Facebook has become the heavyweight champion of propaganda. Zuck & Co. decide what is and isn’t news. Spoiler alert: the truth is often a casualty.

It’s Facebook’s corporate users, who increasingly need FB to get to their customers, who are the problem.
Babyface Zuck that rhymes with ‘yuck’ has never and will never get my buck!
Maybe I’m wierd, but I never saw any reason or attraction to join Facebook or any other “Social Media” website or group, so I never have.
I took facebook off my phone a couple of years ago. I unfriended every friend just before the election and made my account “public” with an explanation to all of them that it wasn’t personal.
I now use it for marketplace for local pickup only because I live in a rural area and craigslist is pretty useless here. But that’s all I use it for now.
I never have, either.
I follow interesting people on Twitter, but I've never posted anything there myself.
I joined it because I wanted to track my daughters. But that was a LONG time ago.
Ditto
Facebook is a front for the CIA
Think about it ... users freely post personal information - likes & dislikes, financial details, politics, even intimate sexual details - that they would never, ever give out if the CIA directly asked them in a survey
It’s ingenious, actually ... but don’t fall for it
Does anyone know a similar online service alternative to facebook that large amounts of folks could migrate to? After the election lots of us saw censorship and bias problems with browsers like firefox and online chats like twitter and you could easily change to brave or parlor (at the time).
It’s easy to import all needed info to another browser, but facebook would have a lot of friend links and pics. One would have to consider a site’s widespread use to be handy enough to change to, but we already know how corrupt facebook is about handling the truth.

Facebook makes money off your account being active. A Facebook account is active even if you do not use it. You must delete the account to be truly inactive.
An Active account is money for Facebook. If you have an active account, you are supporting Facebook.
Bump
FB wasn’t always like this. I joined in 2011 mostly for news and politics and never had a problem; never knew anyone else that had a problem being ‘censored’ up until around 2018 going into the 2020 election cycle. That in combination with the C19 b.s. they were propagating revealed just how corrupt the platform had become. I deleted my account in January not just because of those things but because anyone who has conservative leanings will be painting a target on their lives so I got off of it and off of Twitter. This current regime in D.C. is no doubt using FB and Twitter to identify political enemies and it is hard telling what they will do to them in the future.
FB has the ability to influence and shift 6% or more of their users in an election with their “tools” and they know it.
I regret taking a month to kill my Twitter account after President Trumps’s account was suspended. I should have taken about 30 seconds to complete the task.
KNOW YOUR ENEMY and act accordingly.
I get that. And they add value for me.
Dropped it and Twitter after the election.
