Why are they picking on Poso with their infographic? I like Poso.

They could have picked Alex Jones or that Natural News guy, somebody like that, and they picked Poso.

Because “misinformation” is code speak for organically spread speech that is unwanted by the left.

If your program and tweak the right search algorithms, you can make any naturally occurring network of connections appear to have specifically desirable patterns.

***How can we stem the spread of disinformation online?***

Another question that needs to be asked: “How can we stem the spread of disinformation in the Mainstream Media?

I see, so it’s a way of saying to all populist media people, “Don’t think you are outside of our target range with this.”

First recognize that political factions will disagree on what constitutes "disinformation" and will try to suppress information they disagree with.

The objective is not “to automatically detect disinformation narratives online”.

The objective is “to automatically detect those who are effective in exposing the Left’s narratives as being disinformation”.

That’s why they hate Poso

Rather than try to control what people hear, maybe they could be taught to discern the truth from BS. Is that too unrealistic to expect? Is thinking just completely out of the question?

Wow!

So only the Right uses disinformation? (Posobiec, RT_America, Ten_GOP)

Like the Chinese virus lab dis/misinformation that potentially killed many who didn’t suspect or track down where this came from (Wuhan domestic travel banned, international ok)?

MIT is a Leftwing organization. Do not trust their Leftist politically-tainted disinformation.

What scumbags! FULL BLOWN SOVIET STYLE CENSORSHIP IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

The remaining free in the land of the free had better scream bloody hell and not stop screaming until this stops.

Tell you what... I would not own a site that had SEO metadata bot access. Not anymore, what used to be a good thing will now be how they spider and crawl domains for this stuff and a detriment. Turn it all off... It will still naturally propagate through the search engines, just take a little longer.

“Misinformation” often is not actually so.

They claimed this about things that Rush Limbaugh said, Donald Trump said, Joe McCarthy said, Ronald Reagan said, and on and on.

Gave a pass to both Clintons, Obama, the Squad, Biden, Comey, Snopes, WashPoo, NYet Times, LAtte Times, Boston Glob, et al...

It is unfair to play back tapes of things Leftists have said that are counter to things they later say.

Why would you need to “STEM” the tide of any speech besides overt hate speech, terrorism, or criminal activity???

What’s ironic about wanting to call some organic social media information “disinformation” is that these same people actually condone (and therefor implicitly promote) hate speech and terrorism against law abiding conservatives and right-center patriots. They virtually cheer when there is violence as a result.

They want it both ways, but only for them. They want to call free speech “disinformation” even when it’s harmless, but they want to protect hate speech and violence when it’s within their political sphere. How are we not supposed to see what’s going on here?
