It would be an understatement to say I am not a fan of Dr. Anthony Fauci. For months beginning in Spring 2020, I have written about features of the COVID-19 pandemic management that seemed either inconsistent with current research, in opposition to the data coming from other countries, or completely divorced from the traditional management of a respiratory virus. My lockdown objections were on record, starting with my governor’s first stay-at-home order in Georgia.
Then a glaring error in the entire lockdown thesis emerged in September. A doctoral candidate in epidemiology from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, Ronald B. Brown, Ph.D., questioned how mortality data was presented early in the pandemic. On March 11, 2020, Fauci told Congress that COVID-19 was ten times more deadly than the seasonal flu.
This claim was a departure from predictions made by Fauci and former CDC Director Robert Redfield in late February. They predicted the mortality impact of COVID-19 would be between that of the seasonal flu and pandemic flu in the New England Journal of Medicine. Then on March 11, it became something akin to the bubonic plague, and the cancelations began in the NBA and other large gatherings. How this happened was either a screw-up of epic proportions or intentional. In the end, it doesn’t really matter because the resulting chain of events ruined lives, businesses, and is responsible for education deficits we will feel for decades to come.
The problem Brown identified is that Fauci compared apples to oranges in his congressional testimony. Fauci told members of Congress that the mortality rate of COVID-19 would be about 1% or ten times the mortality rate of the seasonal flu. The problem is that the term mortality rate is not specific, and he was comparing two different kinds of mortality.

Someone needs to take a look at Fauci’s personal finances. It’s my belief that he has been feathering his nest by cutting deals with Big Pharma and putting his name on various patents which then pay off in $$$.

If one were fully aware of events during the H1N1 pandemic in 2009-10, it might shock you to know that the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of that disease was 2-3%.
And this virus was discovered in NORTH AMERICA, not China.
It was also far more deadly to children and adults. As of December of 2009, the year the virus emerged, 87% of deaths occurred in people age 64 and younger, including 11% occurring in children 17 and younger.
This trend is the exact opposite of COVID-19 and all seasonal flu. Yet, many Americans lived through H1N1 and never even knew it happened.
In Comparison to H1N1, the CFR of COVID-19 is approximately 1.8% using the broadest possible definition of a COVID-19 death as currently reported. How in the world did Americans get fooled into destroying the economy, busting out the federal budget, and creating a mental and educational health crisis for our children?
I don’t blame Fauci for all the chaos.
The terribly incurious news propagandists deserve a lion’s share of the blame.
Have we reached full propaganda at this point in time? I hope the citizens finally understand how warped American news is by the machinations of the left.

I’m going with totally corrupt and happy to be dishonest whenever necessary to further his gain in any way. I believe he’s not stupid and knows, and encouraged, the lies about COVID.
He promised Trump he would face a pandemic after funding gain-of-function research at a Chinese lab, then as the pandemic developed he gave misleading health advice to the nation and covered up its origin. I say charge him with premeditated murder and let him plead to criminal negligence.
The perfect storm...Fauci’s inaccurate or knowingly false statements about the real danger of COVID, a media bent on whipping up panic based on an anti Trump narrative and the Democrats who willingly destroyed the country and cost thousands of elderly their lives to fuel their quest to get rid of Trump and increase their power. Fauci was the creator of this mess.

Fear? Some. I don’t think they really fear their audience because they know most of their audience is indoctrinated, and some are just stone stupid.
I think it’s more about power. If this gets covered, those few Dem voters who have retained some small amount of curiousity will notice. That could cause a shift in votes.

If there was any competence, it has been drowned by the drug of celebrity. Point a camera at Fauci and he starts auto-talking. He can’t shut up. He loves the sound of his own voice.
Fauci highlights the danger any powerful government official represents to the public. They have power, but no accountability. They can do things that affect the lives of millions, yet they are not elected and can’t be fired by the injured public. Why is Fauci still in office? Because firing him would require someone to take charge and assert authority, and it would be a tacit admission that the government had failed both in allowing Fauci to exert influence and in not stopping him once it became obvious he was wrong. Government officials are reluctant to take any action as no matter what they do, they’ll face criticism. Therefore, they take no action and no one even knows they had the power to take that action. Therefore, no criticism. Another aspect of this may be that the people who could fire Fauci wanted the damage he was causing to continue and grow worse.
Don’t pay any attention to what politicians say. Look instead at the outcome of their actions...or, inactions.
Fauci is laughing...all the way to the bank! Just like the vast majority of ‘appointed’ government dictators have done, and those that steal elections!
Had enough of Mother Government, YET? Yeesh!
