I didn’t know we still had blue laws in this country.
Yes, we still have blue laws in the South.
Are they still in effect in new england?
I recall when even beer couldn’t be purchased in stores on Sundays and people would have to drive to another state to get some.
We also cannot buy bottles of hard liquor (whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, etc) in anything but liquor stores. Someone told me once that the Costco Kirkland tequila is a great tequila at a great price. Wouldn't know as Costco cannot sell such things in Texas (and I don't drink tequila).
Yep.
In Texas, currently, you cannot buy alcohol after midnight Monday-Friday and after Saturday after 1 AM (Sunday morning). You can buy M-Sat at 7 AM, but Sunday not until Noon (in Sept 10 AM).
Car dealers are usually closed either Saturday or Sunday.
Classic Chevy Sugarland has two locations, one closed Saturday, one closed Sunday, just for this. Heck, there’s still dry counties in Texas, too.
