Democrats are looking for ways to sue gun manufacturers as shootings in New York City continue to surge.
Some Democrats are also seeking to make it more arduous to legally purchase firearms.
WSKG reports that state Sen. Zellnor Myrie (D) is sponsoring legislation to allow New York residents to sue gun makers who “don’t take steps to prevent their products from being sold and purchased illegally.”
Myrie commented, “I again ask this industry: what are you going to do about your products that are killing our people? You have experienced record profits this past year … and while you make record profits, we experienced record death.”
Other parts of a larger gun control package from Democrats include making would-be gun purchasers pass a drug test, a “mental health evaluation,” and a gun safety course. These measures would also apply to individuals who are applying to get a New York hunting license.
New York adopted a large number of gun controls in 2013 under the auspices of the SAFE Act. Those controls include universal background checks, a ban on “high capacity” magazines, an “assault weapons” ban, firearm registration requirements, and ammunition registration.

Oh my God. Every gun manufacturer needs to move to Arizona.
More than a century (1911 Sullivan Law) of New York doing the same thing and expecting different results.
So they are saying / admitting their strict gun control law is useless?
Why not sue the politicians who empty the jails directly onto the streets?
“ Myrie commented, “I again ask this industry: what are you going to do about your products that are killing our people? You have experienced record profits this past year … and while you make record profits, we experienced record death.”
The problem is NOT the guns.
The New York Dems have no standing to sue gun manufacturers, unless they have been shot at.
Who is shooting at Democrats in New York?
I wonder if they need help?
When do they start suing car makers for stolen cars used in crimes?
How about we sue Democrats for putting repeat, violent felons on the streets? If you subtracted the murder rates of the top Blue — that is, Democrat— cities from US statistics, the US would be one of the most peace countries in the world. Why is that?
Democrats are creating crime for their political benefit. They should be held accountable.

Maybe there whould be legislation to allow New York residents to sue the New York state legislature. And the Governor. And judges. Isn't that what they are supposed to be doing?

The same kind of tests required to use your right to vote?
Can’t gun makers sue for defamation?
Guns don’t kill people, people kill people...
Sue Democrats for being totally stupid...
Hey now! Doesn’t Chicago have some of the toughest gun laws in the United States of America?

They are looking to pass a law similar to the one that allows a victim of drunk driving to sue the bar and bartender who served him. Except this is more like someone suing Tito’s or Jim Beam.
MAybe they should take the gunz away from the illegal “owners”.

Imagine .. criminals doing illegal activities ?
Remember when there were all those posters located in all those metropolitan areas that indicated
that all crimes committed while the 'perp' committed while in possession of firearms would be "Federally prosecuted".
When was the last federal prosecution ?
It seems that such a law is non-existent !
Or was it just a publicity stunt ?
