Mexican drug cartel members have recently taken to targeting police officers in their homes — then torturing and killing them, according to a disturbing new report.
The Jalisco cartel has vowed to wipe out members of an elite law enforcement force known as the Tactical Group in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato, the Associated Press reported Sunday.
The cartel even had a banner printed up and hung from a building in Guanajuato city that declared: “If you want war, you’ll get a war. We have already shown that we know where you are. We are coming for all of you.”
“For each member of our firm (CJNG) that you arrest, we are going to kill two of your Tacticals, wherever they are, at their homes, in their patrol vehicles,” the message continued, referring to the cartel by its Spanish initials.

In some countries (I could name a few) at the higher levels, the law enforcement leadership is corrupt and actually in bed with the global criminals. This allows major criminals to flourish. At some point, lower level law enforcement, who may be good people, end up paying a very steep price. And citizens on the sidelines may shrug and say, “Cops are all corrupt, anyway.”
One way to get this going in a different direction would be for lower level cops to show a little less “loyalty” to the corrupt cops above them. I’m told that 99% of our own FBI are “good people”. But none of them seem to ever come forward against that 1% of bad cops in the FBI. Maybe it’s like that in other countries too.
Coming to a city near you very soon. Complements of Beijing cheating Joe and his asinine immigration bill that will bring back illegals that were deported back to our country from Mexico. Good God when do we stop this madness!
Appeasement never works. Wholesale bombing of suspected cartel sites are needed, realizing that in the short-term it would get ugly. And therein lies the problem: No one wants to look at long-term solutions to worldwide problems.
If Mexico would invite us over we could help them and ourselves on that side of the border.
Why don’t the Mexican police honeypot a couple of those addresses and slaughter the cartel assassins when they show up?

Yes, indeed. The old-time Mafia offered public officials either gold or lead. (“Lead”, of course, meant a bullet.) But at least the Mafia left the families of the officials alone. And they left governors and judges alone.
