A robber shot an unsuspecting victim inside a Bronx subway station but the stick up backfired when the victim fought back, grabbing his assailant’s weapon and shooting him in the face, law enforcement sources said.
The 21-year-old would-be robber pulled his gun on a 40-year-old man in the mezzanine of the B/D station at E. 182nd St. and the Grand Concourse in Fordham Heights, said authorities.
Jeremy Lynch, a neighborhood resident, was inside the station near the token booth when the struggle occurred on the other side of the turnstiles.
“I heard arguing. I took cover,” he said.
As the men fought, the 21-year-old suspect was shot in the face, while the 40-year-old man was shot in the torso, said sources. Lynch said he heard about three shots.

Always such a dumb phrase. Robbery cannot “go wrong.” Robbery IS wrong.
In this case, the robbery seems to have gone right.
Well, it IS the New York Daily News which is a left-wing tabloid.

If the robber is black and the victim is white, I guaran-damn-tee before the media is finished, the victim becomes the perp and the perp not only becomes the victim, but a hero of some sort.
Surprised the victim not in jail for shooting an unarmed assailant in that hell hole.
In my humble opinion, it is a robbery gone right.
If you are ever found on or near the “grand concourse” in the south Bronx, you’ve somehow or another made a poor decision.
The first day I worked in Manhattan and had never been on the inside of a train(outside is a different story), The Visiting nurse service sent me to the Bronx.
I was taking the 2/3 to 3rd Avenue and I got off at 3rd avenue and the grand concourse. Two different stops, first day, what did I know?
I stepped outside. I was the only melanin challenged person for at least a mile in any direction.
Fortunately, I was wearing a suit, so most of them assumed I was a cop or a lawyer. I did get a comment “What dis ghost doing here”.
I quickly decided I was going to get back on the train and quit this job. lol. I went back inside the station and realized I was one stop off. Ultimately I found my way to St Barnabas Hospital after riding in a bus full of people coughing like they had tuberculosis.
TLDR: This particular road should be called MLK BLVD.
Well, at least one of them is white, but I can’t tell who is who. You are probably correct. If the victim is white, the Left will go after him for resisting and shooting the black predator.
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
Concealed carry rights should be universal.
And the corrupt, vile, and evil NYC mayor will want to prosecute the victim of the crime in three, two, one....
Robbery gone right
Every time I ride the NYC subway system I make sure to stand *well* clear of the tracks until the train has arrived lest some psycho pushes me onto the tracks as the train approaches.
The only thing “gone wrong” is that the intended victim was shot in the torso. I wish him a speedy and complete recovery.
When you go to read article be prepared to read it around the advertising pop ups (my experience). To me the internet is becoming nothing more than an advertisers paradise.
The Straphanger got the better of the shooting I'd guess even that both got shot.

But did the robber have a license for his handgun?
Because if the victim had shot the perp with his own weapon, the news would be asking that very question and telegraphing it in the headlines.
Insofar as the race of the perp, Italian that neighborhood is NOT (though Belmont - aka ‘Little Italy’ - is merely 500 feet away).

“A career criminal with 45 prior arrests was shot in the face with his own gun in the Bronx Saturday during a subway stickup that also left his victim shot.
Amars Faisal, 21, approached another man and demanded his property at gunpoint in the 182nd-183rd Street D train station around 6 p.m., police sources said.
In the ensuing struggle his gun went off, striking both men. The alleged robber was hit in the face with gunfire, and the 21-year-old victim was stuck in the torso, sources said.
They were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where Faisal is in life-threatening condition, sources said. A .38-caliber gun and five shell casings were recovered, according to the sources.
Charges were not immediately filed.
Faisal is affiliated with the WASHSIDE D-L Crew gang, and has been arrested by the NYPD 45 times, including 27 felonies, mostly for robberies, sources said. ...”
