A mass grave containing the remains of 215 children has been found in Canada at a former residential school set up to assimilate indigenous people.
The children were students at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia that closed in 1978.
The discovery was announced on Thursday by the chief of the Tk'emlups te Secwepemc First Nation.

Yours is the reasonable response to the situation. Which means that you ought to be placed in a straitjacket and locked away in a padded cell, for your own safety, of course, and that of all the whack-jobs who are currently in charge of things.
Here, we had a residential school for boys (really a youth jail) and about 100 graves are discovered at the school. The graves were unmarked. It is a shame if the school killed those First Nations kids...
The comparison is to the entire Canadian population.
The proper comparison would be to the communities the children came from.
Those death rates would be much, much higher than the Canadian average, because they would mostly be form small tribal villages in remote locations.
I do not hate Christianity. I am a Christian. I hate to see Christianity being blamed by the media for what is being portrayed as atrocities. If the deaths were legitimate, wouldn’t there be records of how these poor children died, who they are, and when? If they are legitimate reasons for their deaths, then that’s a whole different picture. Why would their burials be secret and hidden?
Since mass graves tend to be used at a time for mass deaths, since they are one-shot things, I suspect that most or all of these children died during an epidemic. Most likely the Spanish flu of 1918.
“British Columbia First Nations had an experience of Spanish Flu that exceeded Philadelphia’s. B.C. First Nations suffered 671 deaths province-wide from Spanish Flu in 1918-19. That works out to 27.1 deaths per 1,000 people per annum.”

That’s true. A lot of residential school students were quite malnourished, when they returned from summer breaks. Regardless, history has already been duly rewritten, apologies issued, reparations paid, and the matter is no longer open to question.
And it’s...catholics. Undoubtedly another playground for pedophile priests. They did the same thing in Alaska, where they raped their way across the entire state.
.....a typical First Nation village in Alaska highlights the old saying “poor people have poor ways”.
The villages in most cases look like a junk yard every where you look up and down each and every street. There must not have EVER been a thought the past 1,000 years of “cleaning up the front yard” and never mind the back yard at all.
Incest and general child abuse flourishes even until today. In many cases, there is no law enforcement present in the communities so rape goes uninvestigated, unprosecuted and unpunished.
The bottom line is there are no words to describe how awful a place a typical village is so efforts to get children out of them (i.e. rescue them from the incapacities of their tribe council) are and were noble though no doubt imperfect and should be seen that way.
Since death rates in the schools appear to be less than the general population, there is no story here and the Christian Community was clearly intent on improving the lives of First Nation Children and probably did.
Looks like the RC Church is trying to give Islam a run for it’s money to who can be the cult of death.
That’s a trick statement anyways, they’re the same church.
That’s pretty tragic for those kids, that’s an extremely high percentage.
Catholic church. There is no way, they are the true faith and the true Church.
Extreme sarcasm.
The question is: Compared to what?
The proper comparison would be to what the death rate for the same age group would be in the villages they came from.
Interesting if she is one and the same.
I just came across this. Not in mourning. I only have so much in terms of capacity to mourn. Right now I have 60 million plus aborted to mourn who never even got to draw a single breath.
I was at a cemetery where the child deaths headstones/metal markers could no longer be identified because they’re small compared to adults.
I’m in northern Alberta, living near some of these places they did this stuff in. I know all about how heavily handed the church was. There was disease rest assured, but there was also a lot of thinning the herd going on. Very much like they are doing to us now.

Essentially, you are 100% correct.
Spent a number of years in a far north community populated largely by First Nations people. We called them Indians back then and I also have roots in these communities. The rates of alcoholism, child neglect, incest and child death were very high. Kids would be left to wait outside bars in 50 degree below weather. These residential schools saved many more lives than they took.
Read up on Dillingham AK which was found to be wiped out with no survivors over one winter from the Spanish Flu . I like to see the death certificates .
This appears to be another hoax by some Left Wingers .
My grandparents took in a couple of Indians girls to foster. Their baby sister was electrocuted when the mother set her on a hot plate to change the diaper.
