For the relatives of the seriously ill, that can mean crushing medical bills to pay for oxygen, doctors and medicine in countries with patchy health systems and virtually no social safety nets. Some families have raffled off cars or pawned appliances. Others sell small plots of land or plead for help on crowdfunding websites. In Peru, local media reported a man offering to sell a kidney to secure a spot in a hospital for a sick family member.
Economists warn that the financial challenges affecting thousands of families will deepen inequality in developing countries, as members of a vulnerable middle class—already battered by job losses caused by lockdowns—are driven back into poverty.
From Lima to New Delhi, there is a deepening divergence with a rich world that is slowly returning to normal thanks to coronavirus vaccines.

The US can thank the CDC and MDA for not prescribing ivermectin at the first sign of Covid. This “Just go home and wait for symptoms” advice didn’t do anything. By the symptoms come on strong, it may be too late. That and the “Crime Against Humanity” in sending infected people to helpless and defenseless nursing home residents. BIH, Cuomo.

I’m asking a rhetorical question, but we could have treated everyone in the USA with 2 drugs that have been around for decades that are fully tested....for between 700 million and 1.75 billion approximately this represents a rounding error on what we have already spent and will spend in the future and many thousands of less people would have died...

Don’t you think if it was indeed somehow helpful that Merck would be lining up just like Pfizer and Moderna for THEIR share of the billions of dollars to be made selling something to help treat or prevent COVID?
I get that people are looking for magical cure or preventative, but when even the manufacturer of said drug says it DOES NOTHING FOR COVID, perhaps there’s something to that..
The world can thank Fauci, the CDC, the WHO, and the vaccine manufacturers for disallowing harmless therapies such as ivermectin and HCQ, needlessly increasing the deaths of all—but especially those in poor countries.
Thanks, I think we are both saying we could have treated everyone in the country for a relatively small amount of money, kept the economy and schools open and saved countless lives in the process....
I have my doubts but if the true history of this pandemic is ever written, it should be considered a tragic crime against humanity that was thrown onto this country and the rest of the world for that matter...

Invermectin retails at around $100 for twenty 3 mg pills. So no idea where you’re getting $5 or even $2 per person.
Now, if you want to go take the version that they make for HORSES (like some people are apparently doing), YMMV. I personally know someone who paid $300 for 180 horse pills from a veterinary supply store - absolutely beyond stupid to take that.
Meanwhile, here’s what the FDA has to say about Invermectin - especially why not to take the version made for HORSES. (Yeah, I know you guys don’t trust the FDA..but eventually ya gotta trust SOMEONE..)
All that aside, even the manufacturer (Merck) of Invermectin says it does nothing for COVID. If it did, don’t you think they’d be lining up to make their share of the supposed billions available for companies with a product to treat or prevent COVID?

Or not. We don't know the pressure behind closed doors to do/say anything. I know some countries and cities (like Mexico City) said cases/deaths dropped dramatically when they used it. It seems like it can be used everywhere but here. I don't believe anything from the MSM or Big Pharma anymore. We are the guinea pigs and are all expendable.So, do you agree with the recommendation of just going home to quarantine with NO TREATMENT whatsoever until symptoms appear?
Merck doesn’t make any money off of expired patents that have many generic versions.
Are HCQ or Ivermectin prohibited in United States?
If not, people are free to use them as much as they want, because cost is low.
