The Woke Mob Comes for Lincoln

The woke tide engulfing America is now taking aim at America’s warriors. Those who today loudly argue that Lincoln’s words are non-inclusive and sexist are the same who said nothing as the Obama-Biden administration left VA in tatters.

As a military retiree, this both sadden me and increases my anger towards the communist takeover we are experiencing with lightening speed that is conducted on a national level on down.

On prayers to GOD for intervention can turn this around.

Gist of the article.

In this, his second inaugural address, delivered just weeks before his death, Lincoln closed his remarks with these words:
With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation’s wounds; to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan—to do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations.
Lincoln’s charge is emblazoned on VA’s headquarters building and its hospital walls. And thanks to a 2020 initiative, plaques with these words are slated to be placed in VA cemeteries across the country to remind Americans of the speech Frederick Douglass called “the sacred effort.”
The message is simple. America is a creedal nation founded on the universal ideals of human freedom and individual dignity. That creed has been defended by 41 million Americans who have worn the uniform since the first shots were fired on Lexington Green in April 1775.
Sadly, there are some who are bound and determined to “escape history.” Legislation is moving through the House and is on offer in the Senate to put Lincoln’s words on the chopping block. And there is little doubt that if it lands on President Joe Biden’s desk, he will sign it.

The left won’t be satisfied even after every single statue of a White Male has been destroyed and taken off of the American currency.

Then they’ll turn on their own, as they always do, and, fact, are in the process of doing this now.

Have an illuminated holy family statue of Joseph and Mary holding baby Jesus and a sign reading FOR AMERICA PRAY THE ROSARY facing the state highway which is our access and fronts our property lighted by red, white, and blue led lights.Plus have a lighted flag on pole close by.

I precede saying the rosary by singing this hymn with this verse
Dear Lady of Fatima we come on bend’ed knee
For your intercession To save our country

Fake news.
The article says this: “… to put Lincoln’s words on the chopping block.”

The bill says this: “… amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:

“(d) The mission statement of the Department shall be as follows: ‘To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise to care for those ‘who shall have borne the battle’ and for their families, caregivers, and survivors.’.”.

I said it would come to this as far back as the early 1990s when the PCers were coming for all things Southern. Even fellow conservatives who were not Southerners were only too happy to either stand aside and watch Southern leaders and symbols be trashed or to even join in in trashing them.

Can’t say I’m sorry to see this. Its long overdue. Don’t expect me to lift a finger to help on this one.
