With the White House poised to unveil the largest federal budget in US history, spy agencies investigating whether a lab in China caused the COVID-19 pandemic and gas prices skyrocketing ahead of a major US travel holiday, President Biden was grilled Thursday … about his favorite flavor of ice cream.
“Mr. President, what did you order?” was the first question shouted by a reporter as Biden licked a cone at Honey Hut Ice Cream in Cleveland, Ohio.
“Chocolate chocolate chip,” the commander in chief replied, to oohs and aahs from the fawning press pack.
“Listen to the media’s response to Biden telling them he ordered ‘chocolate chocolate chip’ ice cream…,” former Nevada Republican Party chair Amy Tarkanian tweeted disgustedly. “You’d think he invented the cure to COVID!”
“Our media is so embarrassing,” added RealClearPolitics co-founder Tom Bevan.
“Is he ever *not* adorable?” journalist Glen Greenwald tweaked on social media about Biden’s Uncle Fudgie handling by the fawning press.
Greenwald also responded later, “didn’t realize that role of journalists was to ‘enjoy’ the US President, though I’ve long know that that’s how they see their role and how Democrats see it when their party is in the White House.”
