KEY POINTS
Senate Republicans unveiled a $928 billion infrastructure counteroffer to President Joe Biden.

The White House has said it hopes to see progress in bipartisan talks by Memorial Day.

$506 billion for roads, bridges and major infrastructure projects, including $4 billion for electric vehicles
$98 billion for public transit
$72 billion for water systems
$65 billion for broadband
$56 billion for airports
$46 billion for passenger and freight rail systems
$22 billion for ports and waterways
$22 billion for water storage
$21 billion for safety efforts
$20 billion for infrastructure financing
How about a national CCW reciprocity, voter ID and partial-birth abortion ban as a counter-offer?
The problem is where do you find people to do the work? Just imagine taking a Gender Studies major and handing them a jackhammer and teaching them how to use it and telling them they are being assigned to I-95 in Ft. Lauderdale in July . . .
How did they left manage to dupe so many in to thinking that Voter ID is somehow - so called “racist?”
I-95 on this weekend...
Forget the Electric vehicles...the auto industry can do that. How about the electric grid alone? It is so obsolete and technologically vulnerable that it should get a major amount of funding. AND...the entire bill needs to show WHERE this money will come from.
(Chuckling at finding myself even mentioning that last sentence...when Democrats are in control.)
I've got an idea ... let's adopt a thrifty, motivated Mexican but make Mexico take one of our "gender studies" people in exchange!
Import them. Leaves more for cronies that way anyways.
What countries?
That's why the illegals come in, dummy! /s
