Coke Tempers Its Politics Amid 'Woke Capitalism' Ad Campaign

Despite its recent foray into divisive politics, it appears the country’s most iconic soda company still wants the majority of Americans to have a Coke and a smile.

A conservative group’s $1 million ad campaign against what it considers “woke capitalism” seems to be having an impact, at least in the case of Coca-Cola and its executives’ desire to lower the political temperature.

The ads, which pointedly criticize several CEOs on a range of issues — from contributing to childhood obesity to failing to stand up to the forced labor of China’s Uyghur minority — are aimed at trying to curb corporate boards taking political sides on such controversial issues as voting rights.

The first round of ads calls out Coca-Cola, American Airlines, and Nike for siding with Democrats in recent legislative fights and what the ads argue is the companies’ decisions to put politicians before their customers.

As the ads began running this week on Fox Business and CNBC, and in markets where the companies are headquartered, Coca-Cola pledged to respect everyone’s First Amendment rights and work together on a “path forward.”

The idiot woke CEO's are basically cowards kowtowing to the far left. Once regular customers push back on them and make it clear we don't appreciate this stuff, they may grow a spine.

I made it a point to give Delta bad marks in a survey they wanted me to take for a long awaited flight to see the grandchildren this week. I made it clear that while we were treated well by their rank and file (including an upgrade on one flight segment), their good work was being negated by an idiot CEO who was bowing to the radical left.

Too late! I quit drinking Coke and Coke owned products. I quit soda years ago, but I quit any other stuff made by them because I can’t be less white and they tipped their hands. Much like I avoid Target Stores and Kohls and Levis and Nike, I don’t need their products and stores. They can go out of business.

“We respect everyone’s right to raise their concerns and express their views, but we also believe the best way to make progress now is for us all to come together to listen, respectfully share concerns and collaborate on a path forward,” Coca-Cola told RealClearPolitics in a statement. “We remain open to productive conversations with groups who may have differing views.”

LOL Listening? I’m done listening and there is no path forward. Coke was always my favorite soda. No more. None of the other brands you own either. I heard your “be less white” loud and clear.

#GetWokeGoBroke is more than a hashtag to me. I totally boycott any corporation that goes woke. So happy to see so many people doing the same thing!

Try a Yuengling if it’s available.

Not only the oldest brewery in the U.S., but a very patriotic, conservative brewery.

And their lager is excellent!

And it's only $16.99 for a case of bottles at the local Walmart!

I HATE the taste of Pepsi and have never purchased their projects... Until this week.
It was cheaper and frankly I don’t drink much soda but buy it mostly for my kids. Woke Coke and their anti white racism is not welcome in my home.

Throwing away half your customers isn't normal... this is MORE than 'woke'... It feels self interest is darkly involved.

I'm guessing a fair number of these 'elites' were friends of Jeffery Epstein... like Bill Gates and Bill Clinton were 'friends'... After all Epstein had thousands of 'clients'... and the corrupt FBI has those lists...

Is it possible we've got child rapists at the top of some of these 'quick to dump customers' companies? And they're going 'work' to keep from being exposed?

The corporations that got on the anti-Georgia bandwagon.

It didn’t stop other states from passing election integrity laws. That was their purpose.

Too late for coke, mlb, nfl, cnn, cbs, abc, nbc, msnbc, wapo, la times, nyt, high tech robber barons, state owned indoctrination schools, woke school boards, starbucks, any soros backed official, aclu, activist judges, lazy teacher unions, the democratic party. And more. They have had their run. Game over. No walking back their actions. NO reset.

Too late! Coke now on permanent boycott list. They already said what was in their HEARTS. Any future mealy-mouthed blather will merely be coming from their accounting department. Screw Coke, and the rest of the woke gang!
