Former President Trump on Tuesday claimed vindication for his assertion that the coronavirus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China, and defended using the term "Chinese virus," which has been criticized as racist and blamed in part for a spike in violence against Asian Americans.
"Now everybody is agreeing that I was right when I very early on called Wuhan as the source of COVID-19, sometimes referred to as the China Virus," Trump said in a statement.
Top U.S. public health officials and experts are increasingly lending credibility to the need for a deeper investigation into the origins of the coronavirus, but so far there is no definitive proof the virus leaked from a lab.
Experts and officials have also noted that even if the virus escaped from a lab, that doesn't mean it was manufactured in one.
Still, Trump and other Republicans in Congress are declaring victory and have been pressing Democrats to open an investigation.
"To me it was obvious from the beginning but I was badly criticized, as usual. Now they are all saying 'He was right.' Thank you!" Trump added.
Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were some of the first people to blame a lab leak for the introduction of the virus.
Throughout much of April and into May of 2020, both leaned into the notion that the virus came from Chinese lab, with Trump doubling and tripling down on anti-Chinese rhetoric. Trump even contradicted an on-the-record statement from his own intelligence community when he said at a news conference he had a “high degree of confidence” that the virus originated in a Wuhan lab.
However, neither Trump nor Pompeo ultimately produced any evidence.
The World Health Organization last February urged people to avoid terms like the “Wuhan virus” or the “Chinese virus,” fearing it could spike a backlash against Asians.
Trump never followed that advice though, and researchers have found his tweets led to an increase in anti-Asian backlash. Last week, he was sued by a civil rights group for calling COVID-19 the “China virus.”

Lawfare plain and simple. That any judge would let this proceed past a filing is grounds for immediate impeachment. Filers need to go on a list.
And I prefer “Xi Jinping Chinese Communist Party Virus”. They let it spread worldwide after their lab leak, may have assisted with that. They were letting large numbers of people travel internationally when internally they were locking down, and used their shills running WHO to spread early disinformation.

Every time an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from China. Now China’s reliance making everything was being threatened by a change in leadership in America which was a major consumer of those products. When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried.

They did indeed intentionally spread it throughout the world.
But it was no "leak." The precise timing of the release was calculated to aid the democrats in deposing Trump, something the CCP dearly wished. This was no coincidence. The Chinese "won biological warfare."
It wasn’t just Trump they wanted to be rid of, they all of the problems in Hong Kong and they HATED Boris Johnson also!! This was released deliberately BANK ON IT!!!

No they aren't. Some of them are coming out of their shells and now claiming "the possibility" of its origins, but they are doing so as if they reached the conclusion independently. They will NEVER give Trump the credit he deserves.

And if nothing else, THIS statement is undeniable. No matter what your politics, it’s easy to recall how much President Trump had to endure for calling it the ‘Chinese Virus’.
There is no escaping THAT!
Most importantly ... it’s telling how the MSM is sneaking up to the spotlight about ‘where the virus originated’. What is more ... THAT question invites debate on ‘who’ had invovlement, and ‘why’.
For me, it’ obvious that the MSM is certain they will be caught in more of their criminal fabrications and exposed for their routinely, groundless ‘reporting’.
To a man ... the media is populated with unprofessional and unethical creeps who don’t deviate one iota from pre arranged scenarios...in fact, that is how we can tell that what they are saying is wholly untrue.
As an organization and as a ‘profession’, there is NO internal debate within their ranks! Is that even possible with purportedly educated and experienced people?
In every discipline and in every business organization, there are differing views on all topics. Maybe they debate minor issues or maybe, larger questions. Anyway, it’s natural (and necessary) to any group of individuals with common backgrounds, interests, education and who work in a related field.
