Lead signer for the popular band Skillet and outspoken Christian rocker John Cooper blasted critical race theory (CRT) in a recent interview with Fox News.
Not one to shy away from biblical truths and what he is learning, Cooper said in the interview that the “woke ideology” of CRT has seeped into the American church.

He is so very sadly correct.
Sounds like the standard Lutheran church in Germany. Like a communist outpost of the Green Party.
“The pervasiveness of Liberation Theology and Social Justice in churches everywhere around you us much more extensive than any of us realizes.”

The “Woke” types gravitate to wherever they can end up consuming wealth and not have to worry about actually producing wealth. That’s been ongoing for many decades.
See various ‘wokechurch’ comments by AD Robles (YT, Gab, others).
That’s nothing compared to the one that’s coming to the country.
And we do NOT intend to lose.
Even many conservative churches are pushing the search for oppressors/oppressed narrative in Bible studies.
Kill a commie for mommy turned out to be profound wisdom.
You are correct.
There comes a point when one’s profession is put to the test: fear of God or fear of man. Responding to/putting forth “Woke-ism” is the latter.
Church of Laodecia.
Bttt
I am glad my pastor is so very non-woke. He will not allow our congregation to head in that direction, and it’s full of people who feel the same.
He has also told me that he’s pretty well convinced that sometime, hopefully later rather than sooner, that he will be arrested for his beliefs. As will everyone who believes as he does.
Except those who carry...which is half the congregation.
Very true. I remember a pastor giving me not the Bible back in the 90’s. But a book on liberation theology to study. Left that particular church at that point as I knew exactly what he was selling and it wasn’t Christ and biblical principles.
Absolutely. Liberation Theology is Marxism in a very thin Religious Wrapper.
It is not based in scripture anywhere.
It originated in Central America. I saw their proponents begging for help while I was living in NM.
I know about the Sandanista’s, saw their surrogates here in US. And I saw their opposition (Contra’s) too. Those were from Costa Rica.
I had friends in the University system tell me the same thing back in the 90’s.
What you see know in America is what you are going to see in Churches in 10 years.
And then churches as we know it will die.
Good for him. And I bet he rocks better than that band Christianity Today wrote about....
It is really ironic that liberation theology and its offshoot, black liberation theology, were created by the very white Soviet KGB to subvert Christianity.
You know what would be funny? if someone with a sense of ironic humor where to point out to the blacks who embrace this heresy that they are commiting cultural appropriation: since these ideas were formulated by white people they have no right to use them.
Wouldn’t that be fun? it would be fun just to watch their heads explode.
He is spot on.

They serve the father-of-lies. He relishes in destroying all who serve him. Deception to the fullest.
In the end Great Evil will be vanquished.
