Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's administration on Monday rescinded a rule that limits restaurant tables to no more than six people - a day after she apologized for ignoring the regulation while gathering with friends at a bar.
The Democratic governor has said tables at the Landshark Bar & Grill in East Lansing were pushed together as more people arrived in her party of roughly a dozen fully vaccinated people.
A revised gatherings and face mask order, issued by the state health department, no longer includes the six-patrons-per-table provision, effective June 1. Whitmer had announced last week the planned easing of capacity restrictions on June 1 but had not specified if other changes would be coming in the new order, which was released as expected Monday.

It was always political. Ask yourself if you really want that jab. I figure most of these scum will easily be re-elected or go to the Bidet usurperation.
That certainly seems to be the case here in NJ; the governor declared a few weeks ago that these students would have their proms and graduations, and lo and behold - our restrictions will be gone for Memorial Day weekend...ALL OF THEM.
How and why the people in Michigan voted this hypocrite into office is beyond me to comprehend. I know there are good people who didn’t vote for her, of course, but the rest, geez louise, what a bunch of brain dead BLEEEEEPPPP!
My long term prediction: All of this is going down the memory hole and in 12 years she will once again be vice presidential material, even though she is terrible.
She 1) is a true believer 2) does what she is told 3) Women are stupid and would still vote overwhelming for her, even though she is terrible.
How noble of her to lead from the front and test out dining capacity limits herself before putting the rest of the public in danger.
Maybe. On the other hand, she’s been terrible optically, and she just isn’t that important. So, if it happens that someone needs to be thrown to the wolves to keep the people quiet..
Dittos. Does Detroit metro with 2 large university surrounds outweigh the rest of a rather populace state ? Apparently so. It does next door in Illinois, but Chi-town is much larger. MI also has monster auto unions.
Still, one would think even liberals tire of Gretchen spitting in their faces.
