Scott Brown: Trump’s ‘Presidency Was Diminished’ by Riots, Looked Like ‘Banana Republic’
Breitbart ^ | 23 May 2021 | PAM KEY

Posted on 05/23/2021 1:08:26 PM PDT by Hojczyk

Former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA), who served as U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand under former President Donald Trump, said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Capitol rioting on January 6 “diminished” Trump’s presidency.

Anchor Dana Bash said, “Mitt Romney said former President Trump incited the Capitol insurrection. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Trump is practically and morally responsible for what happened. You’re a former senator and ambassador. do you agree with them that Trump bears responsibility for the insurrection?”

Brown said, “Yeah, absolutely. I mean, he bears responsibility. I think his presidency was diminished as a result of that. And I think he’s paying a price. He has been impeached twice. He was impeached for those actions. A lot of the great things he did, working on China, getting the vaccine out, got it developed right away, looking at what he did with Iran, Russia, and in the Indo-Pacific specifically, during the Christchurch attacks in New Zealand. I mean, all those things are by the wayside now. That is why it’s imperative to find out what role everybody played and figure out why.”

On watching the riots unfold on television, Brown said, “I thought it was either an action movie, a banana republic, some type of dictatorship. I was embarrassed. I was angry.”

Scott Brown is a bucket of liquid diarrhea. But he's right. Not necessarily for the right reasons, but still...Let me explain...

I'll start by asking QUESTIONS: Why did Trump want to have this rally? What did he hope to accomplish? People came from all over the country spent all kinds of money risked their careers and their lives...for what?

To hear him ramble on in a sub par, (even for him) unprepared speech he was too lazy to have someone else write for him?

and then he tell them to go down to the Capitol, and that he'd be there with them...then he fails to show up!

Meanwhile, it is clear to anyone with a brain that antifa has infiltrated this group and had already started rioting before Trump spoke half a mile away!

NOBODY in his staff of morons and backstabbers advised him to not hold a rally on the (latest) most important day of his life? Not even his media friends like El Rushbo, or Mr. Tick Tock, or The Rosacea Faced Master Strategist who's on at 5PM, or the "Watch your 6, Never give up never give in--unless they are calling for your resignation" radio host with a british accent thought of telling Trump this may be a bad idea?

And he doesn't pardon these guys? All he had to do was get a list of everyone arrested, look up their voting status and affiliations--anyone registered Republican or who donated to MAGA will be pardoned. Keep the antifa scum in jail, if there were any--I doubt it. Then again, there were so little antifa arrested, most likely, a blanket pardon would not have let any significant numbers of "bad guys" go. He ABANDONED THEM.

He bungled the final days of his presidency and gave the enemy THE gift that not only keeps on giving, but that galvanizes their base for the next 20 years and THE perfect excuse to use EVERY power of government, including the military against US. Until we are DEFEATED once and for all.

In these 5 months, the left in this country has tightened its grip around us tighter (and faster) than any time in history. And China has done the same to the left (and therefore us) in that time, as well.

4 more years of Trump would only have officially held off the inevitable, but now all bets are off.

Riots that were staged and encouraged by Democrats.

Not sure if Americans couldn’t see through it and vote against Democrats, or they did but their votes were stolen or both.

Sunday shows are a nest of Trump bashing

I haven't watched them since the days of Tim Russert. I'm not sure why anyone would put themselves thru the agony.

The Banana Republic is when the opposing party tries to 2x to remove a duly elected official and commits industrial sized election fraud to win.

Trump is not a perfect person. He’s a very admirable person, I think most of us would have taken the money and ran, but he’s not perfect, none of us are perfect, only Jesus is perfect. That said, people are going to look askance at a candidate that looks like he/she is prioritizing things wrong, and toward the end of the campaign and afterward, thats how it looked. I think Pence was on top of it, but we need to look at this honestly. There is no comparing Alec Baldwin to Trump. Baldwin is an actor past his prime who got by on his looks. Trump is a Wharton educated economist who built a real estate empire, and reality tv, and numerous philanthropic enterprises, and was in the right place at the right time to have probably been an unsung Wall Street hero that helped save the country on 9/11.

My best friend’s son served on Scott Brown’s staff in Washington. Her son told me Brown was a nice boss and an okay worker. Brown spent a ton of time with John Thune, they went to the gym every day together. I was not surprised when le lost to Warren.

He just got back from New Zealand a few months ago and needs time to catch up. He probably still gets his news from the Times and the Globe. But he was able to get elected in a very Democrat state and was there when the Republicans needed him.
