Yet some people want the pandemic to stretch out longer, insisting on a futile goal of absolute risk eradication.
Posturing to be on the side of science, they ignore the science on the effectiveness of vaccinated and natural immunity and dangle variant fears. They wear masks after being fully vaccinated even though there has never been a documented cases of a fully vaccinated person who is asymptomatic transmitting the virus.
They’ve paralyzed the nation with fear...

I’m of the vintage to have lived through the Hong Kong Flu, the AIDS epidemic, the Swine Flu, the Avian Flu, MERSA, and SARS.
EVERY time there have been two simultaneous epidemics: The disease itself; and the epidemic of fear.
It is the latter which has always proven to be the more destructive.
Who was living in fear ?

Spoke on the phone earlier this week to someone has always been a germaphobe
She and her husband basically hibernated for a year
Grocery shopping every third week, masked and gloved.
No holiday meals with children and grandchildren.
A few outdoor masked "visits".
I call that EXISTING, not LIVING.

Connecticut dropped their insane indoor mask mandate earlier this week and suddenly you see people grocery shopping, restaurant eating, dry cleaning, and pub drinking all without masks. It's about time.

This would be the first Tuesday-Friday weekday reporting of Zer0 new cases in my County. I hope it continues.
Covid did not alter my life at all. Other than having to cancel a few trips because of closures, not because of fears. I traveled, flew, ate out, had contractors unmasked all over my house. Shook hands, talked unmasked to strangers. Went to lowes, wal mart, auto parts stores, and grocery stores with the same frequency. I watched in sadness as many of my friend’s children (all democrats) lost more than a year of childhood. Most conservatives kept on normal as well as they could.
Well we find out in years to come this vaccine was not a real vaccine....there have been no long term studies....why give it to children who do not need it...
It should be up to each person to decide for themselves....I
Looks like we’re at herd immunity....why do we need to vaccinate everyone...
I had the shot but probably should have waited longer....

Yup. They have a better chance of being hit by a train than catching this flu thingie. I’m 71 and have refused flu shots, including this one, since day one. Never wore a mask except for my annual physical since it’s required to get in the door.
Yup. Gotta be afraid of something, I guess. My fear is not Covid-related, but what the democrats are doing to our country.
