Reminiscent of Crown Heights in 1991, and Hebron in 1929. But this is Lod, in the State of Israel, circa 2021. Where do the high muckety-mucks get this idea of "letting them vent". If the government does not keep the social contract, whether in Israel, at the border states or in Portland in America, or in London or Cairo, the contract becomes null and void and is by default replaced with vigilante justice. The only question is when, not if.

Government expressing the same mentality that lost me my home (and my neighbors and friends) and synagogue in Gush.
