A Disaster Entirely Of Joe Biden's Thinking

The more we learn about the true dimensions of the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, the worse it is. Now, a new report says that in the last few months, U.S. authorities have encountered illegal border crossers not just from Mexico, or the Northern Triangle countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, but from 160 nations around the globe. People are coming to Mexico from the most distant spots on the planet in order to cross illegally into the United States, confident that President Joe Biden will let them stay. And Biden is doing just that.

"More than 12,500 Ecuadoreans were encountered in March, up from 3,568 in January," The New York Times' Miriam Jordan reports. "Nearly 4,000 Brazilians and more than 3,500 Venezuelans were intercepted, up from just 300 and 284, respectively, in January. The numbers in coming months are expected to be higher."

And then there are the migrants coming from India and Asia. "Some reported taking buses in their hometowns to a big city, like Mumbai," Jordan notes, "where they boarded planes to Dubai and then connected through Moscow, Paris, and Madrid, finally flying to Mexico City. From there, they embarked on the two-day bus ride to reach the Mexico-U.S. border." Aid workers report seeing migrants from everywhere -- "Arabic, Haitian Creole, Hindi and Portuguese speakers," among many others.

"Many of them are entering the United States through wide openings in the border wall near Yuma, Arizona, sparing them from the risky routes through remote desert regions," the Times adds. That would be the border wall that Democrats and their allies in the courts and media did everything they could to stop President Donald Trump from building. Now, the world is flooding in through gaps in the wall that Trump was able to build or strengthen.

Why are they coming? Because they have heard -- correctly -- that this moment presents a huge opportunity to enter the United States illegally without fear of being sent home. "While most of the migrants do not necessarily understand the intricacies of U.S. border policy, many said in interviews that they perceived a limited-time offer to enter the United States," Jordan writes. "Friends and family members already in the country, along with smugglers eager to cash in, have assured them that they will not be turned away -- and this is proving to be true. 'What we're hearing back home is that the new president is facilitating entry, and there is demand for labor,' said Rodrigo Neto, who came from Brazil."

And so they are crossing the border in record numbers -- 178,622 known cases in April, on top of 172,331 in March. Look for there to be even more in May.

The situation is absolutely, completely, 100% Joe Biden's fault. Yes, it is what many Democrats wanted. It is what many activists and commentators wanted. For that matter, it is what The New York Times editorial board wanted. But the fact is, it would not happen without the president of the United States making it happen. The president could order border officials under his authority to enforce the law and turn away those who have no legal right to enter the United States other than at a port of entry.

But Biden does just the opposite. The president is not trying to stop the flow of illegal crossers. Instead, he is trying to accommodate the flow, scrambling to find housing and living arrangements for those coming in. The message has gotten out to the world, and the world is coming.

The president, members of Congress, and most Americans would never tolerate such a situation at the nation's airports or seaports. When anyone flies into the United States from abroad, landing at, say, Atlanta Hartsfield or Chicago O'Hare or LAX, the U.S. government demands that every single person present documents showing that he or she has a legal right to enter the country. Would anyone advocate scrapping that system and letting anyone and everyone enter, with or without documents? Of course not.

Yet that is the situation that Biden is not only tolerating but encouraging at the border. It is a grossly irresponsible way to run immigration policy. The United States, which like other countries has developed elaborate procedures to control who is able to enter and leave the country at its airports and other ports, has thrown the whole system away at the border. Starting with the presidential campaign and continuing through his time in the White House, Biden has sent the message that virtually anyone can enter the U.S. and be allowed to stay. The crisis at the border is the result.

Sleepy Joe doesn’t “think” in any non-senile sense so once again all blame to his handlers and the people who voted for him, apart from the dead.

What's happening at the border is no accident...no mistake. It's not a case of somebody having "dropped the ball".

It's intentional. It's deliberate. It's straight out of Rat Party Headquarters. It's straight out of the writings of Bill Ayers.

The Rat Party's aim is amnesty for 30 million wetbacks already here...and a lot more soon to come. It will either be by legislation or,failing that,by Executive Order. And there's not a court in the land with the decency *or* the courage to overturn any such law or order.

According to international law regulating refugees, you are to claim the refuge, if you are in danger, in the first place it is safe for you to do it.
Then, you may get eventually relocated somewhere else.
If you are in danger of life or limb, you should not be shopping around for the place of refuge!
Since US borders Canada and Mexico, practically speaking, only citizens of Canada and Mexico could be entitled to take refuge in the USA. Cuban boat people and likes, jumping off boats and planes are likely also eligible.
All others do not qualify by the international law. Trump “stay in Mexico” policy was actually exactly as international law was intended to work!

BTW, Majorkas, in Clintonspeak, is actually right!
The border is actually closed due to coronavirus!
Nobody (some exceptions apply) can get to the US legally, even Mexican families of US citizens!

Article 44 (denunciation[i.e. an US exit notification]) of the refugee convention should be invoked by the US government.

This takes a year to take legal effect.

Trump and the entire Republican Congress failed to even try to get out from under the refugee convention.

“Nearly 4,000 Brazilians”

Covid is out of control in Brazil. New and more deadly variants are likely being formed.

We need to get out of the Refugee Convention so we can secure our nation from Covid.

From Article II Section 3: “He shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed . . .”

Article IV Section 4: “(The United States) shall protect each of them (states) from invasion.”

Article II Section 1, the Presidential Oath: “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

When a rat swears to defend the Constitution, rest assured he’ll lie about other matters.

Our government is despotic. It is past time to reassert our sovereignty through the Framers’ gift of Article V.

We need to go back to pre-1965 levels of immigration.

The is a reasonable international law dealing with refugees. It developed as millions of people were trying to save their life running from Soviet Communists. It was strengthened after WWII, because Jewish refugees from Nazis were send back to their death!
So the law is good. The interpretation of the law - that’s the problem.
First of all, they must prove, they are in imminent danger of live or limb of long term jail, by the government. Refugees are running from bad government, not from high crime of lack of economic opportunities!
No refugee should be allowed to shop for the place of refuge. They should take refuge in first safe country. Syrian refugees should all stay in Turkey.
North Korean run to Mongolia, since China policy is to return them to their death in North Korea.
Since Mexico is considered safe, all refugees coming through Mexico must stay in Mexico and claim refugee there. (Most of them would probably not make it to Mexico, as they pass many safe countries before they get there.)
The only legit refugees in the USA -
1) Cuban boat people (Cuba is our neighbor), if they qualify.
2) Few brave souls who jumped off the Soviet (or similar) boats or refueling Soviet planes. Maybe some Russians making it across the Bering straight?
3) About 30 years ago, there were riots in Northern Mexico. PRI was arresting/killing opposition PAN activists. Few PAN’istas made it across the border and claimed refuge in the US.
I consider this to be the best example, how the law is supposed to work. Those people were clearly persecuted, and US was the closest safe place for them to go! Not to be surprised, the media were not in favor of them, as they were right wing!

That’s about it!

All other cases are the abuse of the law. Nobody should be allowed to enter USA from Mexico/Canada to claim refuge right now, as those stated are now safe.
