Home Depot is the latest major retailer to drop its hardline mask policy, following others such as Target, Walmart, and Starbucks.
Home Depot is among the latest to drop its policy requiring all customers to wear a face-covering in the stores. Per a spokesperson, fully vaccinated customers will no longer be required to wear a mask, but unvaccinated individuals “must still wear masks in Home Depot stores and in states where mask mandates remain in place, a company spokesperson for the home improvement chain told CBS MoneyWatch.”
However, like other retailers, it does not appear Home Depot will ask customers for proof of vaccination.

I’ve been going maskless in Home Depot since all this nonsense began. Me and a lot of others. They never enforced their policy at my local store.
I haven’t been “required” to wear a mask at any of the local building supplies or automotive-related stores and shops during the whole epidemic. Those places aren’t crowded anyway. Haven’t seen anyone wearing masks while walking, jogging or riding bikes outdoors the whole time. Nearly all of us customers go through the other stores without masks now. There’s no “vaccine passport.”
Most of us really don’t care whether other individuals wear masks or not. We don’t care whether other individuals are vaccinated or not. Most conservatives do care about people having access to information other than crazy conspiracy theories, though.
The case rates are low now. There’s nothing more for the Q followers to get spastic about.
Depends: In BlEugene the college girls all wear masks OUTSIDE.
Asinine.
This vaccine requirement thing is not well thought out. There are a lot of people who have had this Covid flu. They will not get vaccinated because they are already immune. Others won’t because they believe the entire Covid thingie is a hoax.
Yup. I go into Home Depot at least twice a week. I ask the employees what they think of wearing the masks and they hate them. But have no choice due to company policy. If they had a choice, they would not wear a mask.
Desperation. Anything to bring back the Trump Economy.
Well I am fully vaccinated against real stuff with real vaccines they didn’t need to blackmail people into getting.
I could also truthfully say I’m vaccinated against [irrational fear of] COVID.
Now geez, where was I when I last had my brain???
I’m not even sure he’s logged in.
.... anything but actually bring back Trump.
On the phone, to unknown callers, I sometimes say with a weird accent, “Me speaka no Englace!” Then I hang up.
Why disgrace the pages of FR with a picture of that commie faggot?
It is a HIPAA violation. They are breaking the law if they ask (not that that matters to any globalist).
If they ask me if I’m vaccinated, I can truthfully answer, yes. (Against polio, and other stuff.)
Depends where you were.
The Home Depot near me would not service me when I tried to return a defective purchase when I didn't have a face covering.
I took a blue handkerchief from my jacket, put it on {like a bandit} and they took the return.
I could have walked out but that would not have solved my problem.
There was a good cartoon where a reporter asked an Amish guy why they haven’t been affected by covid. The Amish guy said we don’t have TV.
I don't know about girls, but I'm pretty sure I was much better looking WITH a mask on. :-)
Or lie and say yes. You're not under oath. And even if they could prove you were lying, all you would be doing is trespassing which is easily solvable by leaving.
I had to replace a TV. Went to Best Buy in a state with no mask mandate in a 70% Trump county with no mandates. This was after the CDC guidance on no masks. They would not let me in with no mask. I told the guardian on the door; “I am going to buy a TV today, do you really want to run me off since there is no longer a mandate?” They said yes. From there, I went to a Sam’s in a county where there is a mask mandate. I went in with no mask and bought my TV.
It continues to amaze me that companies are willing to destroy their revenue to virtue signal. Where are the class action shareholder lawsuits?
My daughter works at HD and loves it. Although I think it is more that the job fits her personality more than it has to do with HD.
She works at the customer service desk. Was visiting her and walking through the store and she said hello by name to all of the other employees. I was impressed (she’s young). “Yeah, there’s a new guy in paint that I haven’t met so I don’t know his name yet - but everyone else I do and make a point to talk with them. I have to deal with all the departments, so....”
With all the folks being home during Covid, HD did lots of business with home improvements. She got almost $1,000 as a bonus for last year, making just a bit more than minimum wage.
