Several polling locations in York County ran out of ballots Tuesday, county spokesman Mark Walters confirmed Tuesday night.
“It’s, unfortunately, something that’s happened before, but it’s something that we take very seriously and are certainly apologetic for,” Walters said.
With a little over 30 minutes left in voting, Walters said anyone who is in line at 8 p.m., when polls close, will be allowed to vote. Replacement ballots were sent to at least 5 polling locations that ran out.
Walters didn’t have a list of affected polling locations but said two of them were Eastern York High School, which is Windsor Township, and Nashville Fire Company in Jackson Township, right outside of Spring Grove.
“[Voters] can be in line as long as it takes,” Walters said.
While awaiting additional ballots, Walters said he knows at least one precinct used the Americans with Disabilities Act touch screens as a “creative remedy” to the situation.
Walters said if people are able to fill out their ballots, but can’t wait for them to be scanned, there is a receptacle near each machine that they can drop them in and leave before the scanning occurs.
There’s no clear reason why they ran out of ballots again, Walters said, noting that they’ll have to look into it after Tuesday night.
He suggested that it is a “safe assumption” that interest in the elections is up, but the county still needs to look into it.
Hope they are mostly voting YES!

Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
Title modified with [PA] as there are also York Counties in ME, VA, and SC.
I voted yes. But I’m in Northampton County.
Fixed.
Now really fixed.
Preview is your friend.
hope this is not another case of more voters than registered.
More a case of election official underestimating the number of folks totally pizzed at Governor Wolf’s neverending emergency with no exit strategy other than 70% vaxed = no masks.
There are reports from all over Pennsylvania about shortages of Republican ballots, as well as voting machines not accepting them. Plenty of Democrat ballots though and the machines just love them.
And so it begins.
We are under contract for a house in York Co. We want to live in a state where our vote MIGHT matter a little. The town we are moving to leans Republican/Conservative. They need more of us!
Election.
Yeah right
Two polling places in northern York County ran out SEVERAL times. Carroll Township, and in Dillsburg Boro.
P.S. It really galled me to put my ballot through the machine, which had a DOMINION nameplate on it. And as far as I’m concerned, that machine could be rigged just like so many others were in 2020. For instance, the Democrat votes could be tallied by the machine as 1.25 votes; while Republican votes could be tallied as 0.625 votes. It happened in 2020. The folks running the polling place have NO control. Only the SUPPLIERS of the machines control the internal programing of the machines.
And Lower Windsor Township.
This is an obvious sign that many false ballots are being turned in. In another fraudulent election.
The ballot box has been manipulated.
The soap box has been deplatformed.
The jury box has been nullified.
What box remains?
“but can’t wait for them to be scanned, there is a receptacle near each machine that they can drop them in and leave before the scanning occurs.”
Yeh, they’ll scan them for you after you leave...that’s the ticket.

NONE, looks like you are boxed in ......
