President Biden is heading to a Ford Motor plant in Michigan on Tuesday to highlight the need to invest in electric vehicles as the White House looks to drum up support for his $2.3 trillion tax and spending plan, which includes billions to transform the auto industry.

Biden will tour Ford's new Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan, where the company is producing its new electric F-150 lightning pickup, ahead of the truck's official launch on Wednesday. The F-150 Lightning, which Ford is heralding as a tu

"The president is going there because electrifying America’s best-selling vehicle is an important part of his priorities, an important part of his focus," White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters last week.

Economic endeavors “work” if there is a demand for them and if the endeavor is profitable.

Throwing $4T at something just says it’s too stupid to succeed in the real world.

Joe is going to have a lot more trouble passing his agenda than he expects.

1 or 2 Dems will oppose, and Mitch has some tricks up his sleeve.

There is no need to “invest” in electric cars. That is a government mandate based on a communist fantasy. Consumers have shown that most do not want these more expensive, step backwards vehicles.

Taxes will be raised to pay for some of it, the rest will be paid for by the loss of value of the American currency. unit.

We, the ordinary people, get hit twice. Meanwhile, puppet man gets to claim that he’s improving the economy because of the rising “economic indicators”. But in reality, the numbers are going up because the value of the dollar is going down faster than Kamala implementing her plan for success.

Will the media tell this story

Ford (F) - Get Report is being slammed by the United Auto Workers union over its plans to move production of one of its models to Mexico from Ohio.

In a letter to union members made public this week, UAW Vice President Gerald Kariem said Ford told the union it was relocating manufacturing of a next-generation vehicle from its assembly plant in Avon Lake, Ohio, to Mexico.

A copy of the letter was provided to The Wall Street Journal Wednesday. Reuters first reported on the letter on Tuesday.

The United Auto Workers, the union representing employees at the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, slammed Ford in a scathing letter over an apparent plan to pull a nearly $1 billion investment.

During labor negotiations in 2019, Ford pledged to spend $900 million on the Ohio factory, in part to retool for a new model that it would start building in 2023.

A trillion here and a trillion there and soon you are talking about real money.

Socialism does not work because there is not enough money in the world for it to work. Printing money does not get around that fact, it just causes inflation until your money is worthless. Perhaps that is the plan.

Hasn’t the government been investing in electric cars for years now?
All of the money that has been given to Tesla and Musk, seems like the taxpayers already own that particular endeavor.

Socialism, period. Govt “invests” (subsidizes) in that which doesn’t work. If it did work, govt “investment” (subsidy) wouldn’t be needed, govt could simply tax the profits.

That’s a little over $12,000 for every man, woman, and child in America. At that point, why not just cut us all a check?

Better yet, just refund everyone all the taxes they paid in the past 3 years.
