Friday afternoon, Walmart (WMT) executives sent out a letter to Walmart and Sam's Club stores as well as supply chain facilities encouraging employees to get vaccinated. The letter noted that as of Friday, "vaccinated customers and members are welcome to shop without a mask," while unvaccinated shoppers are asked to keep wearing masks in stores.
Employees who are fully vaccinated will be permitted to work without masks starting May 18, the letter said, adding that some workers may have to continue to wear masks for health or sanitation reasons. The letter added that "masks will also continue to be required by some city and state ordinances, and we will follow those requirements."
At Costco, vaccinated customers can shop without masks in US locations where there are no state or local mask mandates.
"We will allow members and guests who are fully vaccinated to enter Costco without a face mask or face shield," in those areas, the company said in a message posted to its website Friday. "Costco continues to recommend that all members and guests, especially those who are at higher risk, wear a mask or shield." Costco won't require proof that customers have been vaccinated. Instead, the message said, "we ask for members' responsible and respectful cooperation with this revised policy."
All customers will still have to wear face coverings in Costco's pharmacy and other healthcare settings, the company specified. They will also have to wear them if they are in stores in locations where there are mask mandates.
At Trader Joe's, "we encourage customers to follow the guidance of health officials, including, as appropriate, CDC guidelines that advise customers who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks while shopping," the grocery chain said in a statement on its website Friday.

That’s an interesting question. Because in addition to training employees on HIPAA, I trained on “Bodily Fluids and Bloodborne Pathogens” (HIV related). It seems that one subject would have “leaked” into the other, but it never did that I can recall.

You usually don’t need to use a condom while in WalMart, Coostco or Trader Joe’s. ;-)
As for employees the NRLB ruled if a company requires employees get a vaccine that is under EAU they have to foot the bill for any medical costs related to adverse events. The three vaccines available here are all EAU, not yet cleared by the FDA.
Apparently these companies do not require vaccination; however some do, as do some schools.

Because it was not a dangerous public health disease unless your were gay.

It’s just going to take time for people to feel comfortable to let their guard down in public.
At my place of employment, the mask requirement was dropped on May 1st. The first day, almost everyone was still wearing masks. By the end of the first week it was probably 70/30 for mask wearers. At the end of this week, it’s about 50/50. I’m even seeing some hardcore liberals breaking down and abandoning the mask.

However, in circumstances where it would be impractical to provide a written statement, a covered entity may rely, if it is reasonable to do so, on an oral statement of authority.
In addition, the requestor should be prepared to verify its identity by:
Presenting an agency identification badge, other official credentials, or other proof of government status if the request is made in person;
Making the request on the appropriate government letterhead if the request is made in writing; or
If the request is by a person acting on behalf of a public official, providing a written statement on appropriate government letterhead that the person is acting under the government authority.
Other evidence or documentation of agency (the authority to act as another’s agent) may include:
A copy of the contract for service; or
A copy of the relevant memorandum of understanding, or purchase order.
That establishes that the person is acting on behalf of the public official.
AS LONG AS THOSE REQUESTING provide the above, and the stipulations within. IOW, they can pound sand.
I love that, Don’t mask and don’t tell.
I have not worn a mask in our Walmart for the last 100+ times I’ve been there since this all started. Been offered masks by representatives upon entering, I take one and put it in my pocket and thank them.
If someone lies about being vaccinated, how will they know otherwise?
And it doesn’t protect anyone else, either.
