Governor Ned Lamont on Thursday said on May 19, the state would follow CDC recommendations and not require mask wearing for fully vaccinated residents in most instances.
Gov. Ned Lamont said Connecticut is following CDC guidance in ending the indoor mask mandate for people who are fully vaccinated starting May 19.
The decision comes after the CDC announced Thursday that fully vaccinated people can stop wearing masks in most indoor settings.
The state of Connecticut is getting ready to lift most remaining COVID-related restrictions that have been in place since the beginning of the pandemic and more people are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Also on May 19, the governor is lifting remaining COVID-19 restrictions. These restrictions include size limits and social distancing rules for businesses, such as large event venues, bars and nightclubs.

Ever wonder why they give a date instead of just saying, do it now? It’s to give the idea that there’s some science or reasoning behind the decision. It’s not safe just yet, but it will be on the 19th.
The whole mask mandate has zero science or even logic behind it. Thus, the necessity of creating an illusion of science.
Now we’ll find out how much the Sheep have been trained into submission!
Why the 19th? Will ther be piles of bodies in the streets on the 18th fro the virus if folks stop wearing them then?

Indeed. Naturally acquired immunity is the best form of immunity. It beats any vaccination without the risk or cost.
I love the CHAOS regarding this. It will only destroy the mask charade even quicker. So CT and PA are moving forward with the new CDC recommendations but NJ and NY are not. They will feel the heat.
I'm betting that any vaccine for these people will "override" their natural immunity and might destroy attached immunities. The body is a wonderous thing.
When government makes stupid laws/rules that nobody follows, it destroys their credibility on serious matters.
The virus doesn't know the calendar or date. Only the politicians do.
Why not just announce, effective immediately, concurrent with the announcement, that all covid rules, restrictions and mandates are lifted?
Why the pretense that an extra 5 days are required to stop these silly rules? If they can be stopped next week, they can be stopped right away.
Someone is reluctant to stop their Marxist ways.

At this point it’s about reward. Then it will be about punishment. Then it will be about being held down and forced an injection. I hope it doesn’t get that far, but I’m not totally confident.
