More than 160 fighter jets drop some 450 missiles on 150 targets in northern Gaza Strip
The Israeli military targeted Gaza's terrorist tunnel network Thursday night with a massive bombardment that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said was the first combined use of air and ground forces since the fighting between Gaza terrorists and Israel began.
There was some confusion as to whether Israel had authorized a ground invasion of the Hamas-ruled coastal enclave but it turns out that the ground support was from outside of Gaza's border.
The 40-minute campaign, which started around midnight, saw more than 160 fighter jets, alongside infantry, artillery and armored forces, attacking about 150 targets in the northern Gaza Strip.
They can run but they can’t... Whoops! Running is now a problem.
I’ve read that paragraph several times. What is the author saying?
There have been rumors of a pending ground invasion the last couple of days. My guess is forces stopped at the border and were either direction air fire or shelling with tanks and artillery.
Early reports yesterday said ground invasion. The IDF corrected the reports but it was too late.
I cannot understand why the IDF does no have their own version of a Katyusha type rocket launcher and reply with the exact same massive salvos that the Pals are launching. Respond in kind . See how the Pals like their same medicines. Just pound al if Gaza into rubble . Make it uninhabitable .
Thanks
Thanks.
I posted these tweets yesterday just as first reports came in:

Fill the tunnel network with raw sewerage. Run the sewer lines from Tel Aviv directly to Gaza. They asked for it.
Meanwhile, all the important Hamas infrastructure is safe in the deep underground cities they built a decade ago. The surface stuff while looking impressive, does nothing to actually harm Hamas in any major way.
They have sown the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind.

That's hideously stupid. Israeli is massively more powerful than the Palestinians. They are not responding in kind, they are destroying Gaza. The pissant rockets the Palestinians are using are mostly ineffective. Israel has dropped more bombs which are magnitudes more powerful than Palestinian rockets and those bombs hit their intended targets. Israel has also been shelling with artillery for at least two days from what I can tell. That is also done with great precision.
True. Hamas leadership are also hiding in schools and hospitals. Ground troops will be required to dispatch them to their syphilis infested virgins in paradise. I am fine with destroying above ground targets and driving these vermin underground. Don't let them see the light of day. This most recent Israeli attack seems to be going after some of the underground infrastructure. It is a start.
It’s all Iran’s fault, the Pals are just pawns.
They VOTED overwhelmingly for Hamas to be in charge. They asked for it. Unlike Iran where the Mullahs would lose in a landslide if an honest election were held. Don’t give the Gaza residents a pass.
Dropping missiles, eh? Next thing you know, they will be launching bombs.
