Top leaders in the Texas county where George Floyd grew up supported a resolution Tuesday calling for him to be posthumously pardoned for a 2004 drug arrest by a former Houston police officer now...
In February 2004, former police Officer Gerald Goines arrested Floyd in Houston for selling $10 worth of crack cocaine in a police sting. Floyd later pleaded guilty to a drug charge and was sentenced to 10 months in a state jail.
Goines is now facing two counts of felony murder, as well as other charges in both state and federal court, for a deadly 2019 drug raid....

So now Floyd who pled GUILTY is pardoned?!
No.
The local Miami media ran this story today as if Floyd DID get a pardon, but he didn't...this is just some local yokels sucking up to the left. Even some Republicans were involved.
Apparently the decision is up to governor Abbot.
On charges completely unrelated to the Floyd arrest. The only way this makes any sense is if the crimes the officer is charged with cast doubt on the legality of past arrests like that of Floyd. If that's the case then others should be pardoned as well. If it's only Floyd then it's just another example of useless pandering.
Goines was a dirty cop who planted evidence. All his drug busts are probably suspect now. However, they should not zero in on St. George’s arrest only.
Yeah. It’s kind of hard to canonize him since he has a criminal record.
We must remove all good things ‘white’ from history, and we must remove all bad things ‘black’ from history.
Equity, or something.
And Deep State’s war on local law enforcement continues...

Give it a year or two and any searches on any platform will just return details of an angel. History is being rewritten before our very eyes.
Morons.
Rewriting history, again.
Just sickening.
Yes, by all means let’s waste money on this crap.
Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past.

By the time the Progressives have finished rewritng history, Floyd will be a saint.
So life goes on be it good, bad, or indifferent.
Floyd was a violent criminal who attacked a pregnant woman in her home during a violent home invasion robbery. She should be able to claim some civil awarding from the millions his estate received.
This could easily backfire on all politicians who committed crimes many years ago.
Oh wait.. that would never happen.
Still waiting on the Durham report !!
Ask the Feds how their investigation is going into the counterfeit money Floyd’s crew was trying to pass around.
Sure and at the same time, let’s posthumously pardon Jeffrey Dahmer and name him the top chef of the twentieth century.
When will Julius and Ethel Rosenberg be pardoned for spying on behalf of the Soviet Union? The arrest and execution of the couple providing top-secret information about radar, sonar, jet propulsion engines, and nuclear weapon designs was clearly anti-semitic. /s
Proving once again that while you can’t erase history, you can certainly blackwash it.
