Enbridge says the line is legally operating and State of Michigan has not shown anything actually wrong, they're just acting on a "future fear".
BTW this is the only line that supplies the refineries that make jet fuel for the airports in Toronto (North America's 10th busiest) and Detroit (20th busiest).
Both interstate and international commerce. No State has jurisdiction to control such commerce. Even if it happens to have a deranged idiot for governor.
Thank God for Canada they are building the Trans mountain line which will take crude and gas to Asia. They should simply not trust Leftist Americans on anything.
Why haven’t the good citizens of Michigan dragged this lunatic out of her office by her feet ?
Grinchy Witless at her wurst.
She is so dang stupid...and wicked. I think she shines her forehead like a bowling ball.
“Enbridge, which says the pipeline is safe, is looking to build a $500-million tunnel beneath the straits it says would protect the twin lines. “
Sounds like a job for Elon Musk’s Boring Company.
Gretch doesn’t have the authority to shut this down (there are treaties) — but, I’m hoping it’s a wake up call for the smug, self-styled environmentalists in Ontario and Quebec, who have tried to shut down the Alberta oil industry, and as many other pipelines as they can. As Albertans used to say: let the Eastern bastards freeze in the dark.
Simple fix. Shut the pipeline down past the refinery that supplies Toronto and let Detroit find it’s own jet fuel. Make wHitler eat this till it chokes!
good
i hope they keep it open
WHitler can shove her broom up her cushy clownhole
Can’t see how Governor Whitmer would have the authority to shut down the pipeline unless there was a natural disaster such as a hurricane or a tornado.
This pipeline is protected by a treaty ratified by the US Senate.... whitler and the state of Michigan have no authority....
GOOD!
Time to put these wannabe dictators in the place.
Which is jail.
For life.
The article doesn’t identify that the lines also supply about 40% of Michigan’s propane. Which outside the urban area is a common home heating fuel.
