The House Republican Conference chair position has become nothing more than a symbolic "diversity" post that the GOP reserves for women for purely political reasons. I went through a list of those who held that post over the last 30+ years, and found them to be a mix of prominent, inconsequential, and even completely unknown GOP reps.

Stefanik may not be around for a long time anyway. With New York losing one House seat after the 2020 census, the state's Democratic legislature may look to gerrymander her district out of existence.

So rather than look at her own behavior and what she chooses to support, she wants to blame Trump. He’s not the problem.

For me, the problem was that Lizard Cheney was a warmongering globalist and a duplicitous Beltway establishment loser who perfectly characterizes everything I have found wrong with the Republican Party over the last 30 years.
