Totally plausible scenario:

Time - late in the day on Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Place - CNN anchor desk with live election coverage

Event - Darkside group broadcasts to the world that they have encrypted Dominion voting machines that make up 35% of the election votes. They threaten to manipulate their copy of the voting data and reupload it to the machines, allowing them to elect whoever they prefer to the presidency, many seats in Congress, and a number of governors.

Then they release two different copies of the vote totals, and refuse to tell which copy, if either, reflects actual votes.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why electronic voting is stupid, was always stupid, and will always be stupid.

The headline is misleading.

In 2016, Trump also got a majority of his votes from minorities and women.

The claim that Trump's share of white male voters went down by 1% in 2020 is also misleading.

Trump's total numerical vote in 2020 increased by 9.2 million votes.

In 2020, Trump INCREASED his raw number of white male voters by at least 1 million votes.

When they say Trump "lost" 1% of the white male vote in 2020, that just means that his gain with women and minorities was much higher than his gain with white male voters.
