What Florida's attack on voting rights is really about
CNN ^ | 05 10 2021 | Chris King

SNIP

If there was any question about how hypocritical and partisan these efforts have been, let this latest move erase all doubt. For decades, expansive and uncomplicated voting by mail has been the main strategy for GOP dominance in Florida politics. Republicans spent years promoting mail ballots as a convenient and secure way to vote for Florida's seniors, but now they want to restrict that method, too. Why the sudden change of heart? Simple: a lot more Democrats -- specifically Black and brown voters -- started voting by mail.

It really is that basic. This law is a calculated effort to whiten up the electorate and dismantle the more accessible and convenient forms of voting that Black and brown voters have come to embrace. They know that if they make it harder for non-White people to vote, Republicans are more likely to win, as White voters in the state are overwhelmingly Republican, according to the James Madison Institute. And win, they have. In 2020, Republicans grew to near-supermajority status in the state legislature, picked up two congressional seats, and despite losing nationally, Donald Trump achieved the largest win in Florida for a presidential candidate in 16 years.

But winning is not enough for today's GOP. They believe if it ain't broke, break it. The slide to authoritarianism is a nationwide problem, but in a state home to many Americans who escaped autocratic regimes in Cuba, Venezuela, and elsewhere, there's a particularly cruel irony to the anti-democracy tactics and outright betrayal of American values by the very same Republicans who campaign on platitudes about protecting freedom.

CNN is ATT

Both ATT and Comcast fought hard against Trump. Vegas odds — 5G China chicanery.

Democrats beliefs:
1) All illegal immigrants to be able to get a driver’s license.
2) All eligible people to be automatically registered to vote when they get their driver’s license to give us universal registration (automatic registration via DMV is in HR 1)
3) No one should have to show the license they got when they were automatically registered to give us universal registration because only white people can get a license.

Most countries on Earth have figured out mail in voting is ripe for fraud. It needs to end. With Trillions of dollars of loot involved it would be a miracle if thieves and liars could be prevented from taking it. The solution is to shrink the pile of loot to the bare minimum needed to maintain the rule of law.

Never heard of this guy but he’s so ashamed of being born white that he bleeds chocolate milk in solidarity with the “cause”.

Notice how he unethically tries to mingle the issue of election voting reform with what many people from Cuba, Venezuela, etc. fled from, fixed elections in those communist ruled countries.

These people are the ones who have noticed how the Democrats have used every dirty and unethical trick to suppress the Republican, usually significantly white vote by collectively using ballot box stuffing, un-monitored Drop Boxes, illegal ballot harvesting/pick ups, illegally helping people to fill out ballots, possibly using tampered with ballot counting/registration machines (when you have more people voting than are registered to vote, “Houston you have corruption”), and obstructing certified election observers from doing their jobs.

Also, he was running with a Marxist, the mayor of Tallahasee, named Gillum. You are known by the company you keep.

With the new law and enough vaccinations, we might be able to defeat a lot of election fraud and win the elections to come.

if you are writing a check to the cable tv company, you are paying this man’s salary.

CNN receives over half of its revenue from cable subscriber fees.

dump cable tv. starve the beast.

Would someone, anyone, please ask these people—and demand an answer—why is it so hard for “black and brown” Americans to register early, get up on election day, go to the polls, and show their driver’s license? I have been voting for 40 years, having lived in multiple states. It is really not that hard.

What XiNN is really doing is talking about anything other than the Ranked Choice Voting enabled software in voting machines issue.

What they don’t want you to know: that with those machines and that software, even if every voter is a legal voters, elections can still be stolen.

😂. The attack as it were is no different than say, putting a lock on your door to prevent bad guys from illegally accessing your house.

They purposely misstate absentee ballots and all out mail in voting to anyone listed on out of date voter roles. With all the early voting there is no reason at all for mass mail in ballots and very little for absentee.

I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it — if these caucasoids feel so horrible about being white, I suggest self-termination at the earliest possible opportunity.
