Glenn Youngkin, a former CEO at the Carlyle Group, the private equity firm, won the GOP nomination for governor in Virginia on Monday in what will be a closely watched election since only two states are headed to the polls in 2021 to choose their governors.

I live in NYS.

I’m likely more conservative than you are.

Doesn’t matter who the GOP nominee is. Virginia statewide elections are decided in the democrat primary. Republicans are an afterthought.

No idea who this guy is, but I am nearly convinced the Donkey Party has rigged the Virginia system.

So this is (as always) in God’s hands. Hopefully the skullduggery will be defeated.

Free Republic is based in California. Are you supposed to be making some sort of point?

Florida and Montana both gained CD’s and are solid Trump states.

The bigger problem isn’t who’s moving into VA but who’s moving out. I moved to VA from PA in 2017 and moved out in 2019 after VA Beach went Blue and stayed blue. Unbelievable considering the amount of military in that area. But Hampton Roads in heavily minority and poor so I guess the handout crowd overwhelms the military population.

Good little article about the migration of population for VA.

People think it is all about Yankees moving to Virginia and they forget about the hordes of non-white immigrants who took over northern Virginia and who overwhelmingly vote Democrats and do not cherish liberty and freedom and our constitutional Republic. Our only chance rests with the growing appreciation from immigrants and blacks for preserving what makes this country great and uniquely important for world civilization.

The Democrats always find the votes at the last minute to win

Whine whine whine - he’s a deep stater! He is Carlyle blah blah blah!

THE FIRST STEP TO TAKING BACK VIRGINIA is electing a governor with an R after his name.

The alternative is stay home and get the PUNK (Thank you Rush) elected and lose Virginia for another four years.

Play the cards you’ve been dealt, stop complaining and start fighting for your freedom.

Get behind him and make the PUNK work for his election this time.

I have detected nothing of the sort
In my last job the middle class blacks vocally supported open borders, queer rights, America is evil, and reparations.
One black guy who would talk told me ‘they get it from the preachers every Sunday.

Thanks for the encouragement. I’m pretty close to the action here in Virginia and will keep sharing what I pick up, if appropriate. Of all the R candidates I think he’s the only one who has a chance to beat McAuliffe.

My experience: I was a delegate and it took nearly two hours in my car (actually two cars because my wife as a delegate too had to come from work separately) until you got to hand in your ballot. Doubt if many ‘ any posers would do that. Just saying.

Great points.

And Glenn is also putting into action and funding local conservative candidates to win school board, sherif offices and other races. An intelligent counter move to what Soros has been doing.

Any state run by Democrats becomes a sheet-show. They make sure criminals are protected and we are not. The best you can do is live where the criminals don’t.

Is he MAGA or GOPe?

Somewhere in the middle. I supported him. He was the most conservative candidate who actually has a chance to win a statewide election in VA. All of my hardcore conservative friends also supported him for that reason. We shall see.
