Right, it was a nasty betrayal. It wasn’t a good faith disagreement. To do that and then act like a martyr when you get some well deserved pushback is pretty pathetic. As for the historian, I’m not familiar with him but I’d guess he’s not a Trump fan and has a blind spot.

Cheney would have led an effort to Impeach POTUS Reagan after the Iran / Contra debacle.
I am pretty sure Reagan wouldn’t approve of Cheney and other RINOs voting for impeachment and being unsupportive of a sitting Republican president.
