No lie when it came to Iraq, as I recall recall Saddam Hussein had been in breach of 17 UNSC resolutions which came out of the first Gulf war, including UNSC 1441as well as 687 and 678 which held the entire burden upon Saddam to prove Iraq was compliant with the "governing standard of Iraqi compliance" and that he had disarmed.
And she was also right on there being no torture. What you had were the exact same lawful techniques used for decades on 10s of thousands of US service men and women as part of their SERE training. Certified as legal by the department of Justice and supported by bipartisan leadership of congressional intelligence oversight committees.
I'm puzzled as to why she condemns and singles out Liz Cheney for supporting the Afghanistan occupation when last I checked it was a bipartisan venture which an 8 year Democrat admin did virtually nothing to bring to an end.
As for the Patriot act which also was passed with bipartisan support was well within the law and also shared similarities with an anti-terrorism measure that had been passed by Congress and signed into law by President Bill Clinton five years previously.

“the worst mistake in the history of American foreign policy” was not Iraq. Soon people will realize it was trusting that “capitalism” would make China more free, and less dangerous. We have created a monster.

What a beautiful family
And poor, elderly, haggard Maureen will always be a dried husk of a woman, consoled by her 40 cats.

This screed indicates Maureen Dowd is suffering from both Bush Derangement Syndrome and Trump Derangement Syndrome simultaneously.

Maureen Dowd is still alive? Wasn’t she someone who used to think she was famous?
